Just a tip, for 5:30 I don't think the splitter is needed; conveyors have electrical passthrough just like lights do. Feed one conveyor enough rW for whatever amount total you have in a circuit, and then just connect the passthroughs like done with lights.

Putting a couple of drop boxes on the bunker, can also trick raiders that you use the drop boxes to transfer loot. And they won't look for the conveyors and grief it.

It can 100% be super optimized and allow you to even send in loot from more boxes, filter specific items into tc etc. Really comes down to how much you want to put into the bunker being automated! Thankfully, you can spawn in the bunker and make adjustments at any time

A small note, the splitter is completely unnecesarry. you can connect all the conveyors together as they ahve an electrical passthrough. reduces the power draw as well that way.

Now that you're an electrical engineer. Set up some electrical booby traps outside of the bunker. Maybe make a mote or wired fence with a a current running through it that if someone tries to walk through they get shocked to death with a million volts. Just leave a secret in and out for yourself

It should also be mentioned, that the conveyors are easily destroyed by splash dmg (rocket). That means whoever raids the garage doors with rockets, they will most likely destroy the conveyors as well, thus removing the easy option for you to transfer the loot. //Could you test if the conveyors survive a rocket shot at the garage doors?

@@Reksmore i did test it with a vending mashine flush against the wall as protection against splash damage, the conveyors only broke when the rocket was shot at the vending mashine never wehn breaking doors

I def gunna give this a go in a wall in a modded server I play on, making it easy to drop in a box outside and not even opening a base door. But I thinking, been new to these base build vids, it be hard in a normal pop server to follow instructions .. unless with some one watching ur back XD

i've been toying with this design. It's definitely tough to have to make it with an open TC room. Def should've tested on a build server first to get some of the details and consider my workflow. The best work-around I've found for pvp servers is to build it into a proper base and rush the second floor and (temporarily) false honeycomb ASAP. This allows you leave that square above TC unoccupied. That way you're free to work on the bunker in an enclosed and airlocked base before sealing it.

Splitter is fine. You can run a signal into the bunker to control other devices (like the generator) to turn it off and keep it secret. Or on if you've lost some power during a raid.

Just watching this and I’ve got just one question. When you started doing the piping, wouldn’t go to the TC first then the boxes? Because wouldn’t the TC take the materials it can take, then the materials it can’t take would go into the boxes????

Theres a few ways to do it for sure, for me personally, I set one conveyor, 1 root combiner and 1 industrial splitter through the wall, I then split into 3 conveyors inside the bunker that control flow to each box+tc. Thus keeping tc always stocked up (as long as its on)

I would want to setup a filter for the TC to accept and input upkeep materials as well as essential build tools that can be put into storage within the TC. SO if I have a deposit box thats meant to fill resources for the TC, ie; 1000 Wood, 100 Stone, 50 Frags, 10 HQM for the TC the filter takes whatever from the deposit box and sends it into the TC for upkeep keeping it well stocked whenever you do a big farm of materials and dump it into a box. It would have to be a dedicated dump box that sends directly to the TC, as well as being used for pulling things from the TC like your build tools when needed, additionally adding a Storage Monitor so you can see what's kept in the TC and how much of each material exists.

Cool build dude. Q1) Why does the root combiner need to be on the roof tile? Why not in the 1x1? Q2) Daisy chaining the boxes splits the stackables between all the containers, so your boxes will fill up ridiculously fast. Or have you found a way around this? Q3) are the conveyors replacable if they destroy them from the outside?

If solar panels are destroyed or you expand to windmills you won't be able to power it without the combiner through the wall. You're correct, the only way to fix this would be additional conveyors with filters on the other side. Naw would have to use drop boxes. That's why you want to hide them behind a locker or t3

So believe or not I made a base idea and tested it out so with heat cenctcers and timers So if raiders were close to boom it will auto move the boom into a 1x1 honey comb bunker needing 24 rockets. Because pipe combiners work though wall too

Thats the intention behind putting a locker or tier 3 infront of it. Making them not want to grief it. Specifically the wall chosen is least likely to be blown in most cases. That said. You can always replace the conveyors with drop boxes if destroyed and it'd still be fine

Still works. The orientation is fickle. You need to orient your player position slightly toward the interior of the bunker for when placing the conveyors

Because this uses such little power it should def not be an issue. 100% a non issue if you toggle it off when you don't need it (using smart switch) but worst case scenario you can always spawn inside the bunker and connect a generator easily

The only down side to this. Is if they get a bit pissy at you for the system, They can 1 rocket the wall with the glitched conveyers and destroy your entire system locking you out of your loot room too. But If they are hidden well enough you might get away with it!

Because you need to f1 kill to get into the bunker, so you cannot continue holding the wire tool from the solar panel to the root combiner if it were completely sealed into the room.

I think a drop box is great if you don't mind its limited storage and having to spawn inside constantly! This allows you to avoid going in and out and has much more storage capacity, it can also be modified to hold even more storage, have more inputs etc.
