Hello indie people, I'm Andy and I have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I make videos on autism from the perspective of an autistic adult. Sharing my autism experiences to help other autistic people and autism families to improve their understanding of autism.

I believe that I was not diagnosed with Autism until age 55 because my generation had unrealistic examples of how diversely ASD presents itself in different people, and the "functionality" of autistic people is frequently mischaracterized in movies such as "Rainman". I simply didn't act like Dustin Hoffman's character and I wasn't an empathy-vacant animal abuser (another stereo-type I recall from my youth), so people just thought I was weird and socially awkward. If anything I proved adequately able to "mask" for 55 years, and that takes a clever person, so I guess I am complimented.

When I went to college years ago, now thinking about it some teachers were ableist, some of the teachers expected me to understand what there talking about right away, some got frustrated.

When I used to hear the words Rainman, I thought people where saying Rayman the same spelling as Ubisoft gaming Character, as I didn't see anyone at the time put the spelling of the word down.

FFX was the jrpg I remember the most, along with Xenosaga trilogy. I couldn't understand English very well as a kid when these games came out, but I would watch my older brother play all through FFX and had him explain stuff to me when I couldn't understand. When they released the HD version for PS4 I bought it right away hahaha
