Dude my sisters and I grew up on those. Now I keep showing them to my 4 year old lmao (we just watched Fairytopia yesterday and Swan Lake a couple weeks ago ahhh) my favorite was Princess and the Pauper and Magic of Pegasus because Barbie’s main character in that one had my name (Annika) and nobody ever has my name in anything or says it right lol! I still love them 😂 so glad my daughter loves them too haha

This is so interesting. I was born in 1956 and my first Barbie was a brunette and had a high, full ponytail and tiny pearl stud earrings (probably fancy straight pins 😊) . She looked like a 50's homecoming queen. My aunt made her a wardrobe full of beautiful 50's style dresses. One of the Mattel outfits was a black fishtail evening gown. I may have had a later version who was tan and had a blonde bob, but that may have been my younger sister . I can't relate to the pink/neon Barbie!

Yes! Although she was born a bit later (late 1960s) My mom passed down a Barbie and a little wardrobe of clothes that her aunt made for her. I so treasure these little clothes that you can tell were made with love and care. When I think of Barbie I think of high ponytails and soft blue or purple eyeshadow.

Oh mine was the same. None of this glitter stuff. My aunt made all of those really small clothes as well. I wish I had that Barbie, ;untouched and in the box. She would be worth a fortune. I have no desire to see that movie at all. I think it is kind of weird but then I really did not follow Barbie's after mine. I had boys in my life so Barbies were not on Christmas or Birthday lists. LOL Allie you are pretty no matter what colors you use. Have a fun date!

I’m a ‘56 kid, too. One of my Barbies had wigs. But my first and the classic to me was the blue eyeshadow, black liner, red lips with blonde hair. She looked like my mom. I preferred stuffed animals over dolls, though.

My oldest daughter (currently 17) was obsessed with Barbie as a kid. We owned every single dvd ever made. She watched them daily and had a lot of Barbie’s and accessories. I’m glad to see the movie come out for Barbie because it seemed like for years Barbie was in the backseat. We’re gonna go to the movie ❤

We went to a Barbie Blowout early screening Wednesday. My teen and I ended up both using the BH Mimosa palette - but we did also bring ND Love, the new Pat McGrath quad and Sydney Grace sweet indulgence to choose from. (We drove up to Seattle from Vancouver for it so stayed over night). We used the Pat McGrath Bridgerton blush and an ofra blush/highlighter trio. My 8 year old had a taylor swift heart around her eye with shades from the ND palette. Sparkly pink blush from the bh frozé palette. And we all used the nyx Barbie movie butter gloss. It’s great to see you go all out. Your look is beautiful! That movie was everything. We are definitely going to see it again!
