The Shimoda bags are awesome and if you want a larger one then try the 60L bag. It has a little more room and a top section that has more space for quick reach items. I tested the new shoulder straps for women that are out and they are great too. Also I love the idea of the tripod foot pouch from Lowepro attached to the front. I need to try that with mine! Have fun...

Brendan, missed this one because it was on the day I was having my hip replaced. It looks like I will be out of the hiking/photography game for a bit, but I want to thank you for your vlog. This may sound a bit silly, but thanks for allowing me to enjoy your memories until I can get back out there and make my own.

Good to see someone I follow support this bag as I have been looking at getting a Shimoda for awhile, but availibility in Aus hasn't been great. Were you able to fit your laptop in the pouch? They say 13" but these days that is very ambigous with slimming bezels. Did you consider other sizes or was this just the size they sent? The 60 likely fixes your issue with the space in the top compartment :)
@ShimodaDesigns5 жыл бұрын
Hey Shane, have you tried to contact Maxxum in OZ? You can also contact me and I can put you into touch with them: ian@shimodadesigns.com. The pack fits 13inch but can fit newer 15MBP (although snug), and yes bezel reduction is helping our cause. :)

For hikes where you need to more stuff (e.g. for staying over night) put this in a dry bag. Your Shimoda bag came with a pair of straps that.allow this dry-bag to be mounted horizontally under the rucksack. This allows for much more flexibility, the dry bag can stay at your hut while you venture out for photography. BTW: You might ask Shimoda to add a dry-bag to their accessories ;-)

After a great deal of heart searching and several emails with Ian I bought a Shamoda bag and it has been brilliant. I live in Hong Kong , where there are no real agents so Ian kindly arranged for a bag to be delivered which was a great help. My only wish is that there was a small secure pocket easily accessible from the front for passports, tickets etc. I am on a photo trip in Japan at the moment and use the bag everyday, very comfortable even when fully loaded.
