To this day, this is probably my favorite video to watch, Celeste is without a doubt my favorite game since i picked it up in 2020 and seeing it being completed like this makes me amazed to this day, and because of this video ive found motivation again to speedrun Celeste again and go back to spring and strawberry jam collab and try to beat the expert and maybe grandmaster lobbies. I just got my 201st berry, and I have a lot of respect for the people who have managed to get the Farewell golden strawberry. I consider that to be one of the hardest achievements in gaming. I personally believe this is real. Your excitement its very genuine, that's what I know 100%. I'm an actor and I can tell when someone is acting, oomfie (even professionally). oh now I see that you also didn't take breaks from gameplay and did it all in one sitting. Well, that's more than just a deathless game completion, bestie. Plus, editing game save files is HARD. Next time do things like this without a supervisor and use a vtuber model when doing that. I WAS THERE! 5:19:15 let it be known I was the first to spam the tree :D ...I consider Teej's 202 berries run to be one of the greatest gaming feats of all-time, up there with the longest Dark Souls franchise no-hit marathon, Halo 2 LASO No Envy, and the coveted SM64 16-star World Record. This run belongs right alongside all of them! To play with near perfection for five hours in a game that requires very high precision at times is uncanny. Karl Jobst would be missing out BIG TIME by not capitalizing on this achievement! GG and good luck with your future endeavors. Truly a celestial achievement. And when I say celestial, it's not just in use as a pun. I'm 100% serious. This is literally something surreal, thus celestial is very much fitting. Almost five years after the release of the game, and someone has managed this immense achievement. I hope they put an easter egg of your achievement somewhere in the game, with gold letters carved into the stone of the mountain core. Because as Dragonakout said, you not only carved yourself into gaming history, but you did it and made it shine like gold. Congratulations. This is truly on another level entirely. I'm honestly just impressed at how amazingly it went, with so many times you said that you didn't think it would happen and so many times you just kept going because why not. It was insane seeing just how unlikely you thought it was earlier, before finding yourself at the end of 7C with that gold berry, the last one you needed to finish. The fact that not even you thought it would happen should speak volumes to the immensity of this achievement, and I hope you can look back on this five years in the future and smile, knowing you etched your name not in the stone of Celeste Mountain, but in the very depths of the core. And in gold, of course. Perhaps on the five-year anniversary the developers will honor this surreal achievement in the game. I sure hope they do, this is something that deserves it. Celeste Mountain claims many lives- but this time, yours was not one of them. (I mean, technically it was exactly one of them, but that's because the Moon Berry is just a pain. Nothing can be done there.)

@@Rickfernello Who knows? This achievement has only been completed within the past two weeks, and while news like this travels fast, there's always those who don't hear of it this quickly. I'm just happy to have been around within this timeframe. Perhaps they'll see it soon, perhaps not. But I can say that you have definitely taken your place in the world of gaming, with such a difficult game and goal being completed without a true death. Just keep your eyes open for if one of them says something. I hope that you keep going from here, a run like this used to be considered impossible- perhaps now you can go on to the next impossible thing, and prove it possible. It's people like you, who take years of effort for things that seem so simple, that impress me the most. So much effort and so far the reward has been primarily the excitement and thrill of having been the first, along with some recognition. I can only wish I had that sort of chance, let alone that sort of success. But perhaps I can make my difference elsewhere. One would be surprised how much words on a screen can do to someone, or perhaps for someone. Wherever you go next, whatever your new goal is, I hope you can pull yourself through no matter how impossible it may seem. Take care.

i know you think there are lots of greater achievements done in gaming, but i just gotta disagree. such a feat of extremely difficult, non-repeating endurance is something that has no contest of being the greatest gaming feat yet. yes, there are challenges with many pixel perfects, and challenges of extreme endurance. but one is something that you can afford to throw attempts at until something sticks, and the other usually has gameplay so easy or repeatable that you can shut your mind entirely off for. this run is the greatest gaming achievement because there its difficult in nearly every aspect, and thats not a thing to underestimate.

That's very sweet of you to say, but there are some really screwed up things in my opinion. There are games like I Wanna Be the Guy fangames done hitless; countless Mario rom hacks and Mario Maker levels made to be almost impossible; multiple games completed in a row without leveling up or taking a single hit like dark souls god runs; games completed with severe limitations; tetris games beaten until they break; speedruns that break the limit of games which require perfect accuracy like ULTRAKILL P%; and finally, modded levels in Celeste that their goldens are already considered harder than this challenge. I've seen some crazy stuff! It's nice that people think highly of me like that, but the world is a really big place with a lot of awesome people. Besides, I didn't even get a karl jobst video, haha Thanks 💚

This deserves ALOT more recognition than it has... the amount of effort to make hard things become trivial to do back to back is hard, but to consistently be able to do it for things that takes hundreds of hours just to get 1 segment (i.e. something like farewell) is another, then pair that with having 5 hours of running (for just this run, excluding however much time was in the previous run) and then the pressure at the very end particularilly once your body is an absolute nervous wreck feels near impossible to perform. It is an absolutely wonderous run... well done.
