Pitch black.......there is a beak, a wing, tail feathers, it is definitely a somewhat sporty flying chicken. Have you visited theopticians lately, I guess it is about time you made an appointment. Mind how you park, with your eyes being unable to focus you may scratch your vehicle, or worst still, injure the bird. When driving these cars you will find they are swift in flight and at the end of the day after a hard day, you are home to roost. All the evidence is there, plane (?) to see. Very hard to accept the logo as anything other than a chicken in flight but obviously others will peck away with their opinion, no doubt egged on by others in their flock. My garage coincidentally was an agricultural building many years ago in which free range hens were housed overnight, and has a sign over the door...THE COOP. I get asked many times???? Proof positive? Have a great day.

@dukeofhuzza4 жыл бұрын
Skoda is part of the VW/Audi group. It is originally from the Czech republic (it's actually a very old car company) and they still build their cars there. Their models offer excellent value for money with all the pros and cons of VAG ownership at a slightly lower price than VW models. A lot of owners actually prefer the build quality from Skoda. The Kodiaq is basically the same car as the American Tiguan L.
@John-2094 жыл бұрын
@@dukeofhuzza gotcha, thank you for that info. How do you guys look at Kia/Hyundai? It was kind of a cheap car here 30 years ago now they’re considered just under Toyota and Honda for reliability
@jaz42804 жыл бұрын
It is a bit of dilemma buying a new cars nowadays. I had two Skoda yeti, diesel engine, there tough and reliable, a bit more noisy. I expect the kodiaq to be more refined. The problem is with current status and psychology of the diesel engine, which is causing a huge depreciation of the car value. I think a diesel engine is ideal for the kodiaq. Electric cars are too expensive, especially if you live outside Germany. Imagine the new VW ID3 cost more than your kodiaq for example.

Understeering monster which got NO PERMANENT AWD, but instead a permanent fwd.. to be "best" at something? anything? Maybe only if VAG paid enought for promo after searching a non-spine "auto-journalist". Otherwise anybody would promote a overshitty fwd mamuth which towing a haldex garbage on rear axle. Only old nerd and stupid widows would buy and drive a fwd SUV or haldex on rear SUV. Rear axle should be the MAIN axle for power, not that one which get from time to time 15% of torque.

Permanent AWD for a family SUV is not what most people need or want.
@napraznicul2 жыл бұрын
@@Kadotus then should not be marketed as "permanent awd".. which ISN'T. Most people doesn't have even basic driving skills, that is the reason for some kind of fear of RWD bias awd or even symetrical awd. They BADLY WRONG consider FWD layout as.. "safer" 🤣🤣🤣
@Kadotus2 жыл бұрын
I don't really follow the marketing of any cars that much and I agree that most people can't drive for sh#t. Personally, I've driven plenty of different cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. and have had my driving license for over 20 years. I was also a truck driver for a couple of years when I was younger. _(Most of my driving experience is from the various seasonally varying traffic conditions of Finland.)_ No matter the vehicle or tire(s) that actually make the thing go, skill and realistic understanding of that skill is all that really matters. This is heavily emphasized by poor driving conditions, when the visibility is poor and/or it is slippery. An AWD, especially older one, which lacks many modern safety features, might actually be the most dangerous in the hands of someone with very little driving skill. I mean if the road is slippery and, thanks to the AWD, the poorly skilled driver fails to notice just how slippery the roads are, when they can get moving just fine without the tires slipping (thanks to the AWD) but due to their lack of skill, fail to anticipate how fast they can safely drive and still stop the car before they hit someone/something or drive off the road. Personally, I think RWD's can be a lot of fun in the winter, but no matter what you drive, understanding your own level of skill and learning how your vehicle behaves are the key. (And of course, regular maintenance etc.) I doubt I would've ever gotten a Kodiaq myself, had my father not owned one when he suddenly passed away. I wanted to keep it in the family, plus it was newer and better than our previous car that I had planned to replace anyway.

@@Kadotus the most savage and pure awd system is first generations of audi 90, 100, 200, a4 b5, a4 b6... then subaru STI mk1, mk2.. even mk3. BUT all of those are also understeering tendencies due to masses balance which is mostly in front of the front axle. That is a issue hard to deal with in extreme rides. I also have 30years street licence and 20years from the moment i degree rally school, but never race driving in competition except rallycross and dragrace (which has nothing to do with that rally driving school)
