Beautiful reef and some good catches love the open water fishing I have fished with a spool and this is what I do, I fill it with line so that if the spool ever falls in the water or the floor of the boat its just letting line out if you run out of line you loose the spool. I can cast it out easily over 60yards what I do is I spin the line besides me in a circular motion (clockwise) creating a circular motion close to as much as I am high (any more than that your line will hit the ground) so I'm creating that circular motion to my side (besides me) and rotating it faily hard then I release in an underhand motion like an underhand pitch
