Hi Elle , I watched this video the other day & loved this technique! Today I tried the look , playing the video with you to guide me ! This works!! The do not pass line is so helpful. I used purple eyeliner. Elle I have always said you are a fantastic teacher, and I am saying it again. Could not believe how open my eyes looked !! My hazel eyes were accentuated too! Btw, you have THE BEST taste in shadow colors and I don't often see you use a shimmer, topper shade. So without the shimmer, the effect is so subdued and soft. Thankfully my eyes are shaped like yours, same size, similar brow shape, similar skin tone, so all I've tried that I've seen you use have worked really well for me. Only I'm a few years older😩 so there's that, but hey, I take the bitter with the sweet😃💛

I have a fairly light complexion and like to use a brownish/coppery eye-liner. I've not been able to replace the one I loved bc they stopped making it. I'm in search of another one if anyone knows of a good one! I'm 51 years old so I need to stop using my liner so high off my lash line. But I usually don't get the little wing I try to make right and the line tends to grow. lol Great job Elle...I will certainly give it a try. With it being spring/summer should we use a lighter cream eyeshadow for day wear? I have coppery brownish-red hair and love the color shadow you used but I'm concerned it will look more Fall-like on me. I'm getting ready to go to San Diego for a week and I'm trying to get a fresh look. I waste too much money on cosmetics but it's like my weakness. I'd love to get a simple routine and get rid of a ton of make-up.

Oh Ellen! I had already taken my makeup off tonight but ran to my bathroom to try this. I have very down turned eyes (like my dad 💗) and I have a fold there with some fine crows feet and I just couldn’t get that straight soft line no matter what 😩 help?

sometimes you have to pull the outer eye with the other hand, a little to it is tight, that usually does the trick.

Great video Elle…….is there any chance you could give advice for eyeshadow for people with wide and close set eyes where if you were to do this technique it would create a completely different angle of the line you created from your bottom lash line………for example if I were to do this technique from the edge of my lower lash line it would albut be a vertical line up towards the edge of my brow……….I hope this makes sense 💕 x

I always use brown eyeliner. Black is not for me and alot of people. Brown is softer. Do you think that brushes make a difference when applying shadow? I only have a couple of Real Techniques brushes. I'm just not good at shadow. It does look really good on you. Thanks for the tips. I will try this tonight.
