Lamp looks like the perfect solution to the issues you addressed in video . Saw a video by Rhys Wadley where he mentions a mains lamp/torch but the ones I seen were silly money . Ordered via your link . Arrives tomorrow . Look forward to trying it

Hi Lindsay purchased one of the lamps, i have other lighting options like a bug-bond torch and a laser pen etc, but as a hands free UV light its working out very well with me only having to rotate the fly in the vice. I looked at other similar lights. but you were talking £40-60. Cheers for the link Regards MD

and another one who went and bough that UV light , i did see the one Rhys Fishes suggested as a xmas gift idea , but £80 was a wee bit rich for my Scottish blood (specially as it just looked like a rebranded made in china item) and now again Lindsay you brought us all a bargain ( last time was them scissors from Italy , which i also bought )

Perfect!! I still haven't found anything better than solarez, definitely the best on the market. 2 coats of solarez and 1 coat of Sally diamond hard for me. Crackin vid Lindsay, it's difficult to get a good smooth finish on a buzzer when you start tying, cheers for pointing me in the right direction!! 👍

I think we all have had horror stories with varnish bottles knocking an open bottles over ruining a favourite cape or a unnoticed crack in a lid causing a leak. Sally Hansen has some uses as do the old fashioned styles of varnish. Mainly reduced to backup duty when UV resin is in short supply. UV is certainly the way of the future. Yes you could knock over a bottle, drop it, or only the once accidentally forget to fail to turn off the UV lamp while applying that second or final coat. Even with resin if doing a batch a small rotary device could have you drying a dozen buzzers at once. To each their own. As for subscribers it will take time to get there, but you totally deserve to reach and exceed the one hundred thousand mark. That award would look great over your bench.

Great video as always, Lindsay. Why do you put super glue on before the resin? Joe
@lindsayiflyfish Жыл бұрын
There are a couple of reasons Gary. I think the super glue seals the fly better before adding the resin. Super glue is much cheaper than resin so you save a bit there. Hope that helps Joe.

Hi Lindsay, great content as ever & I’ll be ordering the UV light. I have an ask, you could be the 1st and hopefully the other tiers on KZbin will follow suit - can you explain at the outset why you use a certain thread for certain patterns (don’t mean size) most vids start off with “today I’m using uni thread, semperfli, UTC, textreame etc but nobody ever explains why. Cheers

Hi lindsay. Is there a reason you put superglue on before the uv resin and not just use uv resin from the beginning. I use uv resin the seal with varnish. I was just wondering if there was an added benefit to the way you do it.
