I'm gradually working my way through all your great vids. The Yaesu and Marunouchi sides of Tokyo Station are like two different sides of the same coin. I also like the fact that in many of your vids you include good places to eat. Something I will catalog for future trips. Speaking of the Yaesu side's future, you're probably aware that ground has already been broken to build a new, very tall sky scraper called Tokyo Torch (to be Japan's highest) just north of the station. With all the new development, the immediate area around Tokyo Station and Nihonbashi may become the new center of Tokyo, just like in the old Edo period! I believe I've read somewhere that the highway above the Nihonbashi will be relocated to let people truly see and admire the bridge in its true glory. By the way, you need not reply to my numerous comments as your time is better spent making more vids. リック

The other day, I got lost in front of Shinjuku Station because of the changes due to construction. I am looking forward to seeing what the new Tokyo will look like! あつこより

Once again, I'm amazed at the greenery. Here in the United States, big cites are concrete jungles and no plant life to be found. I noticed that the train station can be a destination in itself! My best friend and I would most likely spend hours in the Pokemon and Ghibli stores! Thank you so much for making these videos for us to enjoy!

@@GetToKnowJapanTogether Yes we are actually coming to Japan this March and Nov/Dec. We usually stay at Sakuragicho but in Nov we will need to take the shinkansen, so staying near the Tokyo station will be convenient as we found a hotel there. Do you know whether it is easiest to catch the Yamagata shinkansen from the Nihonbashi entrance or Yaesu Central Entrance ? Our hotel is about 350m walk to either one but nearer to the Nihonbashi side. It’s our first time staying near Tokyo station as we try to avoid it if we can. But after reading up and watching your video, it’s worth exploring when we come in end Nov. Your video really helped 😊

@@Traveljet14 I have never used the Nihonbashi exit, but after looking at the map of Tokyo Station, it seems like the central exit would be more convenient for catching the Shinkansen! The Yamagata Shinkansen itself is a short 7-car train, so I recommend you check where the train stops on the platform. You can find this information on the station’s information board or ask the station staff when you pass through the ticket gate. Yamagata is my favorite prefecture; the food is delicious, and the hot springs are fantastic! I hope you enjoy your visit!🚅🌸
