Nice review! I can see how a little battery saw can be really handy. No fuel going bad, less mess and quieter. Some day I will get one. Thanks for showing how well they work!

I didn’t actually talk much about the noise, but for doing trail work with my boys, it is so much better to be able to talk while we work! Thanks for watching!

There's a comparable brand sold through a different big box hardware store. Decided to later on buy that Kobalt model because Kobalt built their chainsaw the right way. Both with an automatic oiler, and a chain-brake. Both important features that the other brand was too cheap to incorporate into their compact chainsaw design.

I love these saws and i sometimes use a reciprocating saw for light trimming and cutting stobs off right against the ground so i can mow over them

Bought that exact saw, worked real well, works well in 3-4 inch branches. Good for about 2 hours

I’ve been completely satisfied for the cost. 👍

you are spot on. battery saws are very handy for trail maintenance and you dont have to worry about packing a gas can around on the tractor, sxs, or whatever you are using to travel the trails

I bought one of these a couple years ago since I had the same batteries. It was cheap and so very handy.

Hey Lucas, I absolutely love my Battery tools, we are switching over all our plug-in, air tools, and gas tools to battery. They are great. Nice video and I agree with your review.

Good review Lucas. Electric tools have come so far and that saw looks like it likes to eat up wood!

Thanks, Buddy! I was resistant to the cordless tools, but I’m a believer now.

Cut up firewood with this Kobalt! - I love my Kobalt 80-volt brushless 18" chainsaw with a 5-ah battery. - - I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. Using it on a Southeast LA farm of 18 acres of tall large pine trees that was devastated by a Hurricane with a tornado. most of 10 acres nearly all down. The chainsaw has. been working great even cutting huge logs and trees up to 20"+ logs and it works like a great. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021 and just this year bought the second one.

Great review and demo Lucas. If you had told me just a few years ago that I would be interested in battery powered tools I'd have told you you were crazy. But today I would never give up my Milwaukee M-18s!!! BTW... I went with the same logic you did, if I have a battery for one it might as well fit everything!

You can’t beat those Milwaukees. I started with the big impact wrench and was just blown away. I’ve been collecting battery tools ever since. 👍

I have the Milwaukee M18 16" love this saw works very well and I can use it while cleaning up the property with the 3 point chipper shredder on the BX23S

Those Milwaukee tools are top notch! I bet that chipper shredder sure is handy! I could definitely put one of those to good use!

Used for two months. Chain oil now pours out the unit, not sure why. Cant find the purchase receipt so I'm screwed. Yes I paid for it. Paid cash and I hate thieves. Got to have a security star wrench to pull it apart. I'll try that next.

I also have some 24v kobalt batteries, don’t need a saw for much cutting. I think this might be the ticket.

Hello how often do you sharpen the chain
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Жыл бұрын
I would not be the expert to ask, but I do know when the shavings get small the chain is dull. On this small saw, I usually sharpen it each time when I go out to use it. I normally don’t run it enough to need to sharpen it more than once an outing.

Fuel won't go bad on that saw. 😂 Browse products looks to be a bad link ? Battery links are both good.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead2 жыл бұрын
I added the battery links, but YT adds the browse products link. Not sure what is up with that. 🤷🏼♂️ Thanks for letting me know! I went back and added a direct link to the saw.
