Evrytime it gets serviced by Shimano there’s something replaced! Then they run for a day and get noisy. Then handles fall off and lose bearings. Good reels. Shit service! Guess I’ve found somebody local who is good. You mention Stella to him he laughs and say Saltiga! Just have a bad taste after all this. Plus I have 4 of the buggers.

Magseal prevents protrusion until it gets hard splash, and them whatever small drop gets thru magnetic oil barrier, stays in the reel forever.

Rods are getting lighter tho, maybe not to the point where it fully offsets the weight of the reel but still lighter, and with Daiwas any improvement in reliability is welcome. I've heard plenty of people complaining about reliability of their mid and even higher price range reels so it's a breath of fresh air to see Daiwa engineers working on that.
