And instead of saying my granddaughter in a certain sentence, she said again, the baby, and for this particular sentence im on about , the baby was just not the right thing to say, . My point is that we can all sense when someone is grieving, regardless of how it manifests. After my father died, I could be laughing one minute and crying the next, but it was still obvious that I was grieving. It’s a huge red flag to me when there is a marked absence of grief in someone close to a victim of homicide.
