You should really soak the rubber bands in your choice of oil.. it helps . It works with my locs and my daughter who has curly hair .

@@AshleyFromBrooklyn no they stay in place . If you use the plastic bands it’ll slide off and pop but the rubber bands stay in place

A foam mousse for coils and curls work very good as a setting lotion that won't cause any buildup that you can use other than just water alone that will make the braid out last even longer

Very nice braid out. I have a suggestion regarding the rubber bands. Try not putting them in so tight and removing them with a small pair of scissors. Have a beautiful loc journey.

I love a good braid out. They replace the retwist for me. I don't care about new growth but I Live for texture..this is a good way to retain moisture too. Before I got locs I was doing braid outs most nights anyway...to maintain moisture. I LOVE your color

I've heard SO many caution about going to bed with wet hair because it will cause the damp/foul smell. Yet most of you beauties who show us braid outs wet your hair to do so just before bed. What's the true scoop?

I’ve heard that as well 😭 I try not to sleep with is soaking wet but I’ve never had any problems sleeping while it’s damp. I don’t really know though, lol I think it just depends person to person

Yes it’s true especially if you have low porosity hair that holds water. I started getting it when my locs got longer. I have to wash early in the day and sit under the drier on low heat for about 30-45 min atleast.
