Halloween is my favorite holiday and always has been, but it feels weird watching all of these woman-made videos that overly girl-ify the holiday. On Halloween we usually spend the evening watching Halloween/spooky movies. This year my son wanted to watch A Nightmare Before Christmas because they started watching it in class, then never finished it. I asked my daughter what she wanted to watch and she said something Halloween-y but not spooky. I asked if she wanted to watch Hocus Pocus and she said she'd never watched it before. So I watched Hocus Pocus with my daughter last night and she LOVED it. ^_^

I had some coloring books like that. I cut them up, colored them, and put them into an arc notebook and made them a part of a new Book of Shadows for myself. It's a great way to add something special to your book if you want that. I cut up the illustrations so I could add them to the edges of my own pages. It was a lot of fun.
