It’s been 11 years since I last sat down with this Josh Brookes on his own and it's a show I’ve very much looked forward to doing since we refreshed and relaunched our show back in Feb ’23. In those 11 years he’s won two British Superbike titles, podiumed at Suzuka, ridden to second place in the Senior TT and extended his personal best lap around the island to over 134 mph. The last two seasons of BSB with FHO Racing haven’t quite gone to plan but the hunger and desire to win are still very evident.

One of my favourite riders. Fantastic career, unbelievable racer and still one of the fastest blokes in BSB. Always polite and happy to talk to fans, full of knowledge and experience and one those riders who’s super quick on the roads and track. I hope he gets a better package more suited for BSB on the right bike he’s podiums all day long! BSB is so tough but so is Brookes.

Josh is such a great bloke to listen to.. His career has been amazing, he has fought all the way.. I think Josh is misunderstood much like MD, both have an "I am at work being professional" manner about them... no one sees either of them away from the track, where they are very different characters.. Hope Josh gets a good ride for next year, and a chance to shine again..

Fabulous interview Dave, hats off to Josh for his time and memories, you forget how long he’s been around and what he’s actually achieved not only in the domestic series, but on the world stage. He speaks so well and his enthusiasm for the sport comes across. I wish him the best of luck for next season; I truly hope he gets a decent ride and he’s also able to continue with his success at the TT……oh, and love his helmet designs, they are some of the best in the paddock! an awesome chat as always... one hint he does have regarding the future is the complete lack of FHO team wear on a race weekend...?!!? we know he's supported by UGGLY and Co but pretty much everyone else who's interviewed at a race weekend is in team kit... I'll give you more context to the question question... the idea is that they may say, that they'd ask a former team boss 'did they really favour the other rider even though they said it was all down the line fair'. What a superb pod Josh was fantastic to watch an absolute star racing is a hard sport and stuff goes wrong and in split seconds mistakes can be made this is what makes the sport so fantastic to watch . I really hope things come together for Josh next season and he is on the grid next year and at the TT in a good team be it FHO or a different team he is to good not to be in BSB . 👌👍 Cheers guys !
