I love this. It's like an alternate ending for Romeo and Juliet where they confront their parents and demand an end to the feud. Instead of trying to run away but getting caught up in a series of mistakes. The Montgues and Capsules saw the error of their ways and ended the fued after they buried their heirs, if I remember correctly. Shakespeare never mentioned the cause of the feud, did he? 🤔😺 =^..^=

I don't think he did. The in-universe explanation that was given was that the feud between the families had been going on for so long that the original reason the feud had started was most likely forgotten at that point by everyone. They basically hated each other as a matter of principle, even though they had forgotten what said principle was in the first place.
