I feel like Velvet Room attendants are designed to balance out the protag. P3 is pessimistic and reclusive, so Elizabeth is optimistic and outgoing; P4 is stoic and stiff, so Margaret is coy and flexible; P5 is forced to grow up too quickly, so Lavenza is child-like while also acting like an understanding adult (technically not actually a child, but it's anime logic). The thing is, balancing each other out is also how relationships are supposed to work.
