The interior of this is stunning. The gt line (mid trim) is the one to go for.

Mid trim is Alure. I got one :)
@StephenButlerOne3 жыл бұрын
@@arnadalijagic9412 I think they are all nice. Personally I thing the GT line is the best bang for buck. The GT isn't worth the 5k (iirc). Isn't there 4 trims? So both allure and GT line would be classed as mid. I'm trying to remember off memory from 2018 when I was looking for a new car. When they first came out it was the engines that put me off. 3 cyl was new and I didn't trust then such a small engine in a big car. I opted for a Leon ST FR 2.0 instead. Don't regret it, but the 3008 may be on my list next time round. Its the only suv that could tempt me from my life long choice of estates.
@arnadalijagic94123 жыл бұрын
@@StephenButlerOne Mine is a 2018 model with Allure trim. Pretty sure that here in Norway there are only 3 trim levels of 2018 model but I`m honestly not sure. Mine is 1,2 petrol, 131hp and it works really well. I was also in doubt whether the small engine will work or not in such a big car but it really does. Of course one of the reasons is the price as well. If I went for petrol 180hp even with active trim level, the price would`ve been ridiculous. But I live in Norway...expensive country :) Agree with you that it looks really good... both inside and outside. I had mine now for 6 months and so far so good. Really good car! Greetings from Oslo!

Peugeot 3008 is car of the year role model. It is top quality car, with fabulous design looking to the future. Kodiaq is also good quality but it is too boring and it should be disqualified in the start as manufacturer is too conservative and is trying to match default taste with cowardly designed cars.

Thanks for the good, honest review. I have had my 3008 Allure 1.2 turbo auto for one week and it is brilliant. The exterior panels fit nicely and the interior has a really good build quality. I chose cumulus grey (silver to you and me) and it looks the biz. I part exchanged my BMW 520d for the 3008 and, to be honest, I don't see a lot of difference in build quality, certainly not £12000.00 worth, which is the extra amount I paid for my BMW. That car was fully loaded with head up display, heated steering wheel, xenon lights which shone around corners etc., but I don't miss it. Ride quality on the 3008 is not quite as good but nevertheless is very comfortable. I don't have a problem with the top of the steering wheel masking the instrument binnacle as the steering wheel is fully adjustable. I have yet to try Apple car play, as I alway listen to DAB radio these days, but I will look out for the issue you highlighted. The 3008 has a cockpit/interior like no other and it sold the car for me. The 3 cylinder, 1.2 litre engine plus auto gearbox works better than I expected and will do for me. I have travelled nearly 400 miles on urban/country lane/main roads/motorways and averaging 44 mpg at the moment. I nearly bought a Seat Ateca but very pleased I chose the 3008 at the last minute.

pete draper great to hear from an actual owner. I'm holding out for these to launch in Australia in October before starting my car search as I was close to getting a CX5 but have been somewhat captivated by the 3008. I too was looking at an auto 1.2l so I'm glad to hear it's working you!

pete draper hi, you have EXACTLY the model we are interested in, it what's the auto box like please? I can find no reviews and the dealer doesn't have one to test drive. Thanks
@klackon17 жыл бұрын
Paul Leggett: I was impressed by the 1.2 auto on the test drive but now I have owned it for three weeks I am amazed by it. I thought I would really miss the power of my BMW 2.0L turbo diesel; but I don't. This 1.2 auto is smooth, picks up well and I have had no problems overtaking on A roads or motorways. The only area where you need to be careful is when you have come to a stop on a fast, free flowing traffic island. I've discovered that the 1.2 auto is slightly slow to react when going for a gap in the traffic, but I have not had any problems, as such, to date. It is just a question of judging the gap properly. I have yet to try the sport mode so that may be the answer. I drove a Peugeot 2008 1.2L manual a couple of days ago, which appeared to be very quick in the lighter bodied car, but I prefer the auto box on my 3008. I've now travelled 760 miles and still getting about 44 mpg (this includes a lot more town driving than normal for me). I'm just trying to think of something bad to say about the Allure 1.2L auto but I have come up blank. Oh, some might find the tailgate a bit heavy. So far it is a cracking car, stuffed with useful tech - such as auto dipping door mirrors when reverse is selected.
@nicbarrax767 жыл бұрын
What a relief to hear! :-D I've ordered the same model that you have, with the auto box and all. October seems very far off at the moment... Hahaha! You seem to have the same mpg as many other reviewers, so that's comforting too. Really hope you can enjoy the 3008 for many more miles! Btw, I also looked at the Seat Ateca, but I'm glad I ordered the 3008, the Ateca looks boring compared to it... :-D

@Sherukka7 жыл бұрын
The old 3008 had only two (well one) bad points. The bearings don't last too long. The 3008 was the biggest car to have the same bearings as the smaller ones and with larger wheels it can be a problem. The BMW THP-engine was the other one and only Peugeot-sport versions are those that work because that's the only version that Peugeot had the rights to do own modifications to. The standard version (THP 156) was only developed/fixed by BMW (the contract sadly dictated this) and I don't think they ever got it bullet proof!? I think with the new THP 165 Peugeot has the rights to do own modifications. BMW and long lasting engines...well? :D

harolds789 the new 3008 SUV is just night and day compared to the old one, ive a 2ltr BlueHDi GT Line and it comes in at around 1400kg, compare that to my RCZR at 1280kg and you start seeing the weight saving, but not just that, the materials used are top quality, its very roomy and very comfortable on long trips. The tech is top notch and its easy to use, everything is on the keys, you still have to adjust the temp on screen but it now has a mono function compared to the 308 and the screen os far more sensitive so just a light touch instead of a hefty prod. Car handles well, rear view camera is great (also has a top down view when close to obstacles) and the suspension absorbs even the heftiest of pot holes well. Well worth looking at one if you need a replacement and the boot is hugh at 951ltrs.

Not clutching at straws, merely pointing what I am trying to achieve. I'm not a car expert either, I just don't like the blind faith of people in the "german cars are the best, while cars starting with F (Ford, Fiat and french) suck". It might have been true 20 years ago but it is not anymore. In fact, VW group cars are known lately for being pretty faulty (not to mention infamous TSI engine range). I'm not trying to advocate that french cars are better, that's probably not true for a lot of car models. It's just they are not as bad as people paint them to be, nor they are near the end of the list of reliability. Cheers.

Not once I said anything about french electronics so dont put words in my mouth. I had 3 french cars in my family and two german. Biggest problem with french car electronics was I had to change light bulbs more often and a broken radio. On the other hand, german passat was drinking as much engine oil as petrol not to mention the bloody timing chain issue of 1.4 TSI golf. You keep talking as if I was saying french cars are the best in the world and all I'm saying, they are just as good as german. Both with their own set of flaws.

@Sherukka7 жыл бұрын
I agree that as they are now (even Audi), they don't give you anything that you would miss out on, except you can sometimes have a hard time see anything from them. Keep it simple stupid is my way, it means for example only arrows to show you which way to turn next and so on. Google maps in the speedo gives you nothing more, I know, I've been driving those cars enough to know. It is more about the hype and how it is affecting people who buys cars. Nothing really new in cars nowadays. I miss great innovations, like new suspension setups that would rock the world etc. Now, even new Mercedes cars give you nothing new!! The speedo in this 3008 is at least something new, it is located 100% at the right spot and looking through the steering wheel seems stupid after you get used to this.
@trefod7 жыл бұрын
Personally I find that I pay way too much attention to my speed on a digital speedometer. I just need to know that I am in the ball park, say between 58 and 62 in 60Km/h zone. With a digital speedometer and the eternal threat of speed cameras I no longer pay attention to traffic, only that I am perfectly keeping to the speed limit. It's involuntary I can't help it and thus can't drive cars with digital speedometers.

I think I'd have to errr towards the Kodiaq, but that's just a personal thing of having 2 kids, and 2 sets of stupid Golf clubs to haul around on holidays etc. For me, the boot space on the Peugeot is just too small in comparison to the Kodiaq to cope. But that's a very personal thing relevant to my family, and for many others, I can see why that isn't quite so important and that the Peugeots' boot would be plenty big enough. But for me and my Family, the Kodiaq wins all day long. Taking nothing away from the Peugeot though, it has that typically French flair to aspects of it's design which I do like............it's just those damn Golf Clubs!!
@tonyb12237 жыл бұрын

+Alin Ionescu Normally I would agree as I've seen that vid, but when it comes to 2 sets of Clubs together with 2 adults and 2 childrens worth of Clothing which equates to 3-4 large suit cases and it all becomes a little too small for our needs. I hear what another poster said about the 5008, but the Kodiaq has the 5008 again. If we just had all the bags with no golf clubs on top of that, then I would be all over a 3008.
