I have read two of Professor Burge's books and have heard him lecture at the 2018 Christ at the Checkpoint Conference in Oklahoma City. I have a great deal of respect for both his excellent scholarship and fine Christian values and character. Jesus is in him. And he teaches with such order and clarity. Good man.

I recently heard the Israeli Jazz Musician Gilad Atzmon say at a meeting in Denver that what is needed most in the Middle East is the teachings of Jesus. Amen to that. The answer to all of these conflicts is the coming of Jesus, and for all the world to recognize Him and His right to be the King.

Mr. Burge said, "Christ may come back to Jerusalem. I don't really know." Well, is this supposed to be just a insignificant fact along the way? How can a question of such monumental importance be spoken of in such a ambiguous non-chalant manner? When Christ sets foot on the earth again what geographical location will that be at? Surely the scriptures give more detail than just He will return to the "earth." Where on the earth? If it is Jerusalem then that would make modern day Israel, even in its present unbelief, the most important nation in the world. In Mr. Burge's scholarship it would seem he would have determined the answer to where Christ will return a long time ago.

I do appreciate what the doctor is saying. It's sadly rare to hear Christians in America speak the truth nowadays. They don't realize that every time we say consider Jesus we MUST add the phrase "peace be upon him" or "alayhi salam" (arabic version) and that we too refer to him as the promised messiah. Meanwhile while Jews have in their scripture that Mary (ra) was a adulterer and that Jesus (pbuh) is burning in hell covered in semen. madness...

First semi intelligent Burge talks about 2 Arab uprisings (Intifada's) with a lot of violence from knife stabbing to suicide bombings and then he say the Israeli army occupation of unarmed Arabs?? A legitimate question would be: why do Israel need to control this people with the Army? Why do they need a checkpoint to come into Israel? And if they (the Arabs) can get along with other people, are they then allowed to work and walk wherever they want in Israel? Did Israel build on top of a population that was already there? If that was the case (which if you know just a little bit of the His,story to the land you would know that it was empty, besides mosquitoes and malaria swamps) but if it was true what you claim, then you have a problem with God who brought them back to the promise land. You are just a big big fool you need to keep reading, can't just chop out a verse and make a demonic doctrine of it. Rom 11.1 Hath God cast away his people? God forbid! Read Jeremiah 33.14-26 Verse 16 in those days (when Jesus shall judge) then shall Judah be saved Pretty clear that the jews needs to be back in a land of their own! Incredibly hateful language for someone weaponizing Scripture to justify Israeli violence and oppression. Israel has now killed over 16,000 children in their genocide in Gaza. Would you like to justify those massacres with Scripture too?
