@Niranjan I think you’ve completely misunderstood the context. Nobody’s taking it too personally, they are simply empathising with Miss Colombia and her pain. And just because you see something as insignificant doesn’t mean everybody else does too. We all have our own thoughts and opinions, strengths and weaknesses, passions and ambitions. This title meant a lot to the contestants, and reaching that far is no easy commitment. To have invested your entire heart, body and soul into your dream and then to have it stolen from you mere seconds later is a pain I think many people can emphasise with.

Ariadna accused her of stealing the crown, she cried during interviews. It wasn't Queen P's fault at all. I remember a lot of candidates comforted Ariadna but Pia wasn't able to celebrate her moment cause she felt bad for her and there were people who was booing her in the crowd. We Filo's were so proud of her she took it like a Queen that she is with grace, confidence and a beautiful heart. What’s worse is that after the show ended and the crowning, Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Philippines, was seen trying to approach crying Miss Colombia to console her but other contestants around Colombia stopped her and acted like its her fault, so she the staff had to walk her off the stage. It wasn’t until she got backstage when the staff and makup artists congratulated her that she felt that she actually won and cried. This happened to me at senior prom nearly 20 years ago, and I was legitimately so very upset. The girl who did actually win, wasn’t nice about it at all and I was so furious at how she treated me (and my reaction to that was very immature to be honest but holy moly was I hurting ). What I experienced was on an infinitely smaller scale but I can absolutely still remember how it felt and can only imagine the magnitude of how She felt up there, in that moment. Honestly…..I don’t know if it was better to just do it the way they did & humiliate one young woman….while putting a dark cloud over the win of another - or if it would have been better to take them both aside after the show, explain what happened, and figure out the best way to handle it with everyone being on the same page. Either way is problematic. Either way, one young woman has her dreams stripped away, and another never has the chance to really experience her win. Both women were given their dreams, but both also experienced an enormous loss. Personally, I think they should have waited. I don’t think it should have been part of the show. And I recognize that regardless of when they did it, the outcome would be the same…..but it shouldn’t have happened that way. I know that the true winner should have been given her moment on that stage, and if they’d waited, she never would have had it. More people would have seen the show, than would have seen the follow up announcement where they corrected it. But, did she really get her winning moment onstage? They took the crown off of the head of the wrong winner, and put it on her head…she watched that girl’s heart break into a million pieces in order for her to get her moment. There just wasn’t a way for anyone to really win after that. Psychologically & emotionally, I just think this was the worst way to handle it.

Because even if they did waited, although feelings were hurt, the real winner wouldn't have been able to celebrate the same way. Im sure she didn't. If anything this could be some sort of lesson, even a humbling one for the producers, contestants, and audience. And you never know what could have happened after the show and what happened to the one who didn't actually win. Notice we only focus on her and not the real winner? Im still glad over the real winner because she's still being stripped away from the spotlight. It's a sticky situation but it's really unfair being pitiful instead of giving it to the real winner. The one I truly feel bad for because she's still not in the spotlight. So congrats to her and her composure.

If you saw how he holds the card you would see why he fucked up. He was holding the card with his right hand I think and his thumb covered the actual winner (which is miss Philippines). Since it was his first time hosting that kind of competition he didn’t know that 1st runner up was actually the second runner up. His thumb covered the thing that says Miss Universe 2015 with Philippines at the bottom so he thought Miss Colombia was the miss universe. Sad to say Colombia didn’t win. She never did, she never won. The judges knew who was the winner and they jumped from their seats in shock that Steve announced Colombia. Harvey made a very unfortunate mistake. There’s been a lot of interviews on YT from diff parties who knew the winner before it was announced.

Honestly, the Philippines girl had humbleness, she felt bad and she did what she worked so hard for no more then what the Columbia girl would of done❤️ they both showed that in the hug❤️ but me personally, I'd of dropped out then and there (I'd never have the guts to do this! So I CANNOT speak from what these ladies have worked so hard for) i just can't bare someone being sad over hard work. But i understand this work is different then a silly promotion at work. They are such a queens. Miss Philippines felt bad for the other girl, she felt all the awkwardness of this situation. What impressed we even more is how strong Miss Colombia is to hide her pain. I can only imagine how bad she felt at that moment, she didn't just lose, she was given a moment of win for a second. Of course, she was broken but she remained a true lady - calm, smiling, beautiful, wise... It was just so strong of her to hold the tears. Even I am typing this with the wet eyes

But are you even aware of what she did after the event?? She acted very immaturely. The woman posted and in interviews stated that she was the true miss universe and acted very entitled. She didn’t congratulate miss Philippines even tho she was the rightful winner. She didn’t hide her pain at all, and instead of growing from it whined and complained instead.
