The explosive growth of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in the Philippines has contributed to the massive growth of consumption in the economy. This has in turn given rise to an increase in the purchasing power of many Filipinos with many malls and retail outlets popping up almost next to each other. The rise in automobile, motorcycles and even real estate sales in the country may be attributed to the increased consumption. With earnings forecast to reach nearly US$35B in 2024, the Philippines 🇵🇭 continues to reap the economic benefits from this booming industry.

OFW remittances account only 9% of total GDP. BPO accounts more than 10% of GDP.

The NCR min. wage this month is going to be at P16,770. No regularization for most jobs, means no HMO benefits for most peeps. The common Salary Packages in the BPO industry are just around P17.5K - 27.5K whether newbies o "lucky" tenured reps. You're really a sort of class S rep if you're given a P35K package or basic pay. Its either you climb up the corp. ladder to become one of those few OMs, ODs, softdevs post, be a Bilingual rep or be in a top 10 (telco) sales reps in a company, with ridiculous monthly metrics 😂🎉 Better be an OFW in Japan, Spain, UK, SoKor, Taiwan, Czech R., Singapore, etc. Then be an entrepreneur here or overseas like in UAE. This has been going on for some decades already and Filipinos have little to no choice for local employment

Ganun talaga atleast yun mga taong walang kakayahan mag abroad may maayus na trabaho sa Pilipinas. We are all given cards and actions would depend on what is available to each one of us.i dont have money or relatives abroad and this option is what is available to me.i earn and pay taxes.

The BPO is unsustainable in the long terms, because much of its system can be transferred to automation and AIs.

There is no competition of applicants in the labor market in the Philippines. There is enough market for job applicants than job creations.
