Urick Mann it’s just a theory, but hope summers’ birth could possibly be manipulated by the Phoenix force itself after house of m event, so that the Phoenix could have a possible future host (aside from jean grey). Therefore this can make Hope a better candidate than Rachel.

The Alternate Version of Jean Grey was one with The Phoenix Force that means she was Rachel's Mother!! So I don't understand!! Plus Rachel is Obvi stronger than Hope Summers with the Phoenix Force!! Rachel stood against the Beyonder and was able to stand against him with the full Extent of the Phoenix Force Cosmic Entity!! It is said that the Beyonder is stronger than the Phoenix but not against someone who is an extremely powerful Host of it, like Jean Grey or Rachel Grey!! Hope on the other hand just really isn't Jean Grey's actual Daughter. No offense. I have this funny feeling that the Writers made a Huge Mistake about this and it isn't fair if you have a brain like mine!!!!! I feel so sorry for Rachel because of this!! She's suppose to be the Phoenix but Idc I still see her as the True Phoenix till this day even though she can still call out to the Phoenix Force but she won't because of the Writers!! Hopefully her time will come and she'll be the one laughing at Hope in the End!!!!!!!

Glad you are doing this story. Rachel is the most under-utilized character that they never really know what to do with. My theory is that they were going to tie this in with Hope Summers but people got mixed up between it and Second Coming and AvX. Quesada and Alanzo really had the worst habits of starting storylines but never concluding them. Ex: Hope summers' future and x-man being brought back for nothing to ever happen to him and then the whole Hulk/Skaar Story. The Doc Green arc just dissappeared after Secret Wars just seemingly for the sake of making the Cho Hulk and killing bruce for plotlines for CW2 and SE.

I wasnt a fan of the latest nate grey story that kinda felt cheap before the hickman run. It ruined his character that would have been great with the current run. Sadly another missing character is Kid Apocalypse. Regular Apocalypse came out of the blue while Evan seemed to disappear.

You doing too much, Rob. Rachel did not have the Phoenix during this and especially when Vulcan encountered her. So, he never overpowered a Phoenix. He warped Rachel's telepathy. Storm just handed Vulcan his ass so there goes that "he's so more powerful than anyone, and Phoenix no less" out the window. I have the same problem remembering my first comic. I remember it was a pre-New 52 comic about Nightwing. It was when Nightwing first decided to take residence in Bludhaven but on one of his first nights patrolling, he went to go inside this building to save someone from gangsters I think, the building caught on fire, he was injured badly and the guy he was saving was asking if it was his first time doing this sort of thing. When he exited the burning building he realized his bike was stolen. I have no idea what comic number it was, can someone help?

I dislike how they make a psychic beings fight with their hands. And I dislike how they let a close range / hand to hand combat beings beat psychic beings. I don't think Vulcan can overpower the Phoenix Force. Galactus who is on a whole other level tried to take the fraction Phoenix Rachel possessed away from her and the stars began to fade away. Galactus couldn't remove the PF from Rachel, when he tried stars began to fade and everything there is was turning into oblivion. But Vulcan easily ripped it from Rachel. The Avengers standing it's way and saying we defeat the PF. All of those were pathetic except the Galactus part, it shows how powerful it is. The writers don't use the PF the same way it was stated.

The Phoenix force left Rachel after she made it go into Diamondo Nero in the future and she operated only as a former vessel with "residue" of the Phoenix for decades after. Her time as Phoenix is over. Don't know why Rob tried it when he's so well read, that is. That's why the blue Phoenix shadow came into her from the Blade of the Phoenix.

Loving the X-Men stuff. The only DC I like is Batman, but I haven't read a book in like 20 years. Avengers is alright, I'm enjoying the MCU, but it's not my favourite thing ever. X-Men though, are the only hero comics I do. Might grab a Spider-Man or Batman someday for the 90s throwback. Maybe T McFarlane Spider-Man. But X-Men all day long. Just picked up the Amazing X-Men trilogy. Keeping my eye out for Wolverine and the X-Men omnibus.

PART II Because of that conversation between legion and the watcher, he realise that the phoenix force just in this ONE TIMELINE, needs to be the dark phoenix, (so in multiple timelines, the phoenix sometime is contained in jean, sometimes never exploted, sometimes became the white phoenix etc). So this need to be like it should be, the dark phoenix needs to make his to be born again, because its so powerful, the only way to stop the dark phoenix is let it destroy the universe. So when it destroy the universe the dark phoenix is done and its born again. And this tied with the watcher said that in this timeline the mutants managne to come together (something that never happen because they always extints or dead). So the mutants are so bad luck that when they managne to be together, the dark phoenix happen. So the watcher give them a opportunity. Legion moves all the mutant population in that island to a pocket dimension that he creates. So legion realise that he is not there to help to defeat the dark phoenix, he is there to save the mutants from extinction. And when the phoenix force goes to earth, and everyone is like shit is done, where are dead. A group of the shiar empire who studied the phoenix force, came to realise the existence of the M'Krann crystal. The shiar empire oldest sorcerers or ancient people keep this crystal in secret, they dont know what it is, they just know that its related to the phoenix force, so the M'krann crystal is like oldest thing that exist outside the realitys, the storty is there. Inside the crystal is a pocket dimension, that is between life and death, so a group of people (legion, wolverine, cycolps, cable, hope summers, deadpool, etc) go to search for the crystal, where the shiar empire hide in a pocket dimension, so the only one who can go there is legion, so this group of mutants go to find this crystal, they find it, but the crystal absorbs hope summers, so inside the crystal is jean grey who talks to hope about the phoenix force and explained all the history of live and death of the phoenix, so jean grey told her that there is a HOPE, because when the dark phoenix is done, it resurracted again in the normal form. So jean grey give the power of the phoenix to hope summers, and teach her the secret to control it, so hope summer becomes the WHITE PHOENIX. But she dont told nobody about it, at least later. So when its about 90% destroyed universe, the only things that happen, its that legion and hope summers uses the M'krann crystal to move ALL THE MUTANTS AL THE MUTANTS ( everyone in the pocket dimension, and the xmen and the other mutnats that are with the resistence), its like the m'krann crytal is in a another dimension outside reality, so when the phoenix force destroys everything that doesnt affect the crystal. The dark phoenix destroys the universe completely, all the mutants population legion x men deadpooll are inside the crystal, but the only one that know that is legion and hope summers. There is the White Hot Room, that exist like the afterlife and the phoenix homeworld. So they're all there. So legion and hope realice that the universe is destroy, and the phoniex goes to sleep and goes again in the cycle of life and death. They uses the M'krann crystal to go to another REALITY. And that happen to be MCU, why? because hope summers thinks that eventually if the phoenix takes control of her, they need the most powerful beigns to stop here, so the only option is the MCU because of that. So because the events of avengers 4, all the reality is change, I mean if there is a change is the reality dr strange would know right? but because of the infinity stone and thanos, there are changes. There is a massive change in the earth, this tied up with what ROB said, its like all the mutants are living in a island, that nobody know about, that appers from nothing from nowhere, someday it just there. Legion managne to make the same thing, a world that nobody know about mutants, and they live in a island, just waiting for the perfect moment to come. The avengers are in that world with the fantastic four, guardins of the galaxy, etc. And how you match the avengers with the xmen....ONSLAUGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! legion resurrected profesor x to make him the leader, but profesor x is not like always, and he battle magneto for the leadership of this nation, and that anger hated and everything united with magento (this magneto is more chill, but after profesor x is resurrect they fought a lot) this makes legion to participe in that fight, so the psyinic of profesor x, legion (he is crazy but in control, but crazy) and magneto come together to create ONSLAUGHT. So onslaught wipe all the xmen x force ass, so they come for help to the avengers, how would the avengers would take that nobody know about this, and that. Its like hope summers explain everything to the avengers, said that they come from other reality, and they come is peace, that they live there about 4 years with nobody knows, but they dont make crimes, so the avengers thinks maybe there are not that bad, because they want to take off onslaught, to protect the earth. So litte by litle they trust each other, So the avengers is like we would talk about it later, so the avengers and the xmen cant defeated onslaught, so hope summers goes to find legion that lives inside his own pocket dimension (he feels guilty because of the death of a lot of mutants) and ask him for help. He told her that he is powerless beacuse the event that happen, but after a talk, legion comes to his senes and he locked onslaught in his pocket dimension with him. So legion is done, he sacrifes himself to defeat onslaught. The avengers saw that and they start to trust the xmen. So now, the avengers knows about the mutants and that island, and because the island is in no one jurrisdiction, they are like wakanda or latveria or like the inhumans, they're like a nation. I dont know if they would told the people, about this, this is keep in secret, and later the illuminati is form....reed richards, tony stark, black panther, profesor x, dr strange, black bolt (they live in the moon). So they decided that it would keep n secret, because the events of thanos, the people is pissed of, so if they know about the mutants they would be bombing that island or something like that. So now in the current world. There are the avengers, the xmen, fantastic four, guardians of the galaxy, inhumans (in the moon) in the same timeline. After that, the world is a book. There a lot of histories that can happen. Like the run of the fantastic four with franklin richards and the celestials, annhilation, infinity, secret wars, avengrs vs xmen, galactus, marvel zombies, the beyonders (dr doom there), siege, thunderbolts, fear itself, etc. ROB, PLEASE READ THIS.

I mean, you basically hit the nail on the head in your afterlife explanation Rob, in Marvel's universe death is what the dead believed it was in life. In the case of Mephisto, by making a deal with him, you believe in his version of the afterlife as a prerequisite for the deal to be made implicitly. You have to believe he has the power to grant your wish at the cost of your soul for the pact to be made, if you don't then what is the point? Moon Knight's powers come from Konshu so when he dies, that is his afterlife.

What ever happened to Rachel Summers? In the original uncanny X-Men. My favorite Chris stories: Savage Land, Extinction Agenda, and I think there was one with Mr. Sinister? Jim Lee and Chris would be great for the X-Men right now. I loved the "Mile Stones" comics, the several #1s that created the same side by side cover art as the fold out version.

I have that issue. I never really cared for it. To unceremoniously kill off Jean Greys family that way in such a manner didn't seem right. It was unnecessary.
