The Phoenix Suns Were WRONG To Fire Frank Vogel according to Gilbert Arenas as he & The Gil's Arena react to the breaking news of the Suns deciding to part ways with their head coach following their sweep from the NBA Playoffs and debate if he was a scapegoat like he was for the Los Angeles Lakers or was it on Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal to play better in their first season together.
Gil’s Arena premieres every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

Team composition was terrible and the only way it might work is if they had an offensive genius that would have them scoring 130 a night - in a similar breath to the nets. This on the upper management. Three coaches in three years, Traded your valuable role players for KD and Bradley Beal, never got a PG who can facilitate the offense to make Book, Beal and KD job easier, other than Nurkic you didn’t add any size. Nah Gil wrong!! First off they have no point guard, second when Book brings the ball up the court runs off 4 screens and puts up a shot without passing the ball once, that’s a problem. You can’t compare an eastern conference team to a western conference team. The east is cake compared to the west

No it’s not, pacers will run you off the floor, Knicks play hard all 48 min, Celtics will shoot the lights out, bucks can beat you with 3 level scoring plus hella free throws, 76ers are just decent with a great center, Miami find dudes out the mud and turn them into scrappy fighters, it’s not a cake walk, both conferences are tough, but the West will be even tougher once Ja morant comes back(pelicans and the kings have to make moves)and the Warriors re-up next year along with the Bucks figuring out their future play style because didn’t know wtf they wanted to do this year.

Frank had PGs, he wasnt using them. He had bench depth, he wasnt using it. Frank made ZERO offensive adjustments, nor did he even have an offensive gameplan. He deserved a lot of the blame he's getting. But you dont watch, you just wait for KD to fail so you can blame him for the failure. I know your kind.

If you're not smart enough to know right now that as an NBA BA player, you need to be on a team that has an offensive system and a defensive system. Not a five wide out that leaves nobody underneath the rebound to get a rebound. Just understand that you threw away your seasons and if you have one person with the ball in their hand and they're trying to create all the time and not have any plays the last 2 minutes or the fourth quarter, you're going to lose the game. Offensive systems always work but leave in the triangle offense 😅

If you want to know who's going to win the finals you got to go towards the team that's playing all their players, not just five players or six players or seven players. I mean everyone that's on the bench is going in meaning the coach knows about rotations about the offensive system about the defensive meaning of putting the other team in foul trouble. Within 5 minutes of the game holding players accountable for taking charges to get the ball back on your team. I mean at the end of the day you got to have knowledge in game and you got to know this. I can't tell you everything. If you want to hit me up, hit me up. I'll let you know about game

It’s okay to blame coaches in a tight 6 or 7 game series where play calling, timeouts and adjustments aren’t utilized properly. But if you get swept, that’s on the players. Straight ⬆️up

@@smoothsavage2870 defending Frank? Cmon he's nothing to me. I don't care about Frank and his Lakers chip. I'm not a Lakers fan. I'm going by the testimony of players. Check the Bol Bol episode on Gil's Arena, they alluded to that. Even regarding Frank, Bol Bol has multiple years in the league and he convinces no coach. So is it all the coaches fault and Bol Bol is blameless?

You need chemistry in anything you make. Let's go with the food analogy. The ingredients have to compliment each other. You can't take 5 random ingredients, throw them together, and make it work. That will not be a great meal even if you have the best primed meat. Tibbs is making spaghetti and meatballs but he has all the complimentary ingredients. Fogel tried to make filet mignon. He had the meat but none of the seasoning and sides he had available worked with the beef. This is why Pippen and Jordan are arguable the greatest duo ever. Individually there are tons of guys that are better than Pippen in the history of the league. However when you put those two together in their prime, they are unbeatable.
