What a stunning home. Beyond words really. It's so awesome to see a home from this era restored and maintained to such detail and perfection now-a-days. So many of these homes and belongings are left abandoned and destroyed by vandals due to lack of resources to maintain, or simply lack of interest by family members.

Lorraine TheFam I too have one ghost attached to me. He is ever the quietest spirit. He never speaks unless necessary. I have seen other ghosts, but not him in appearance. He never reveals himself, not even his name. In my life, he stays quiet in the background, until I am ever in any serious danger with criminals like stalkers, rapists, murderers, etc. When dangers emerge, he springs into action and thwarts them: he makes gusty winds. He also responds to my emergencies like few heart attacks, haemorrhage, fires, choking, etc. I sometimes sense his presence by his wind blasts and flitting movements. Anyway, his presence always increases my sense of safety. He has saved my life over 20 times. That one spirit is my guardian and he is fiercely protective of me, especially with harmful spirits and poltegeists. Strange thing is, he never alerts me to any dangers in my vicinity but rather, he thwarts them quietly and leaves me in ignorance. It is always afterwards that I find signs of botched crimes and other thwarted dangers in places: examples such as a 10 feet long black scorch mark on a wall, broken glass pieces on floors, smashed doors, etc. Like that, our guardian extinguishes fires in our home and scares off burglars. My family and I would be lost without him.

Rosie Smith, that sounds like harmless ghosts, if they have never gashed you, never pushed you down the stairs, or never done any physical injuries to you or family. If they have not physically harmed you, then that is a *GOOD SIGN* and therefore you have *NOTHING TO WORRY.* One or few of them might have been protecting you while you were growing up. Julie Nielsen Have you ever seen one?
@julienielsen37466 жыл бұрын
No. But, when I was six years old in 1966 my parents had to leave me home alone for about half an hour. Mom told me to stay on the sofa while they were gone. While I was sitting there our pekingese dog was looking past me into the hallway and wagging her tail. She was looking up like at an adult. I used to think that it was Grandma's spirit looking after me. Now, I know it was an angel, and that mom had prayed for God to send an angel to watch over me while they were gone. When I was on vacation in Yuma, Arizona with my parents in their motorhome when I was in my teens, I was in my bed in the front area of the RV. I was in a sleeping bag, and I felt like a person was leaning on me. That scared me. I just stayed still and eventually went to sleep. I didn't say anything about it to my parents. I didn't think they'd believe me that it was anything more than my imagination. So, after we had been back home in Oregon a few months, mom said to me, "Something funny happened when we were in Yuma. One night I was in bed and felt like someone was leaning on me. I thought it was dad, but when I looked over at him, he was asleep." Then I told her the same thing happened to me. Maybe it happened because I was really into horror movies and stuff at that time. I don't know. I do know that getting into stuff like that can open doors to allow demons to do things. I know that no angel of God would have done anything to scare us like that. I've studied the Bible, and know about spiritual things from that and from pastors, and from people of God who I trust I've trusted for many years. Some of them have seen demons. They've said shadow people, which are dark shadowy figures or masses, are spirits of fear. They can also physically harm a person. I'd rather not see one myself. If I did I'd cast it out, in the Name of Jesus. I'm not afraid of them, because as a born again child of God I have the authority to do that. Plus I pray for God to protect me against evil every morning. Sadly there are people who are preyed upon by spiritualists, mediums, etc. and are led to speak to these false spirits, and sometimes they are just conned into believing it without demons fooling them. Satan's main thing is to lead us away from God, and His Word, and to get us to believe satan's lies, and that the things in the Bible are not true. God's Word warns us to not fool with spiritualists and mediums, or familiar spirits, because they are demons/fallen angels and of satan.
@nancygoo34056 жыл бұрын
Julie Nielsen Wow, so you have had experiences. I have been able to see and sense spirits since a child, it runs in the family. I agree, there are demons out there but there are also spirits that for whatever reason have failed to move on to the next plain of existence, which I believe is heaven. I have seen shadow people and I do agree they are dark entities. When I was three years old the first memory having to deal with spirits was when I was playing in my bed, my mother and eldest sister were painting our bedroom. I had a dress on and pulled the covers up over me, not covering my head and all of a sudden I felt two hands grab me by the ankles and pull me under the covers. The friction of the sheet burned my back. I told my Mom and she thought that I had fallen asleep but I was awake! Through my years growing up I sensed things and saw things but I ignored them. It was until later on I was confronted by a haunting that I no longer could dispute the reality that there are spirits. Through the years they have even saved our lives, once when my daughter fell down the stairs and was picked up and gently landed on the landing below. She should have been dead. Another time was a fire and I was woken up by this ghost before tragedy could have happened. So it's true there is bad out there but there are good ones as well. You might very well be a sensitive but you are repressing it which I don't blame you, it can be scary at the beginning. I know I can command them to leave me alone. If I sense something dark believe me I pray and call for God to intercede. It was nice chatting with you...God bless

@pinklady71846 жыл бұрын
The owner probably view antiques as technically not his. If you must know, most ghosts are *very sentimentally attached* to items that were once their belongings in former lifetime. So, as an owner, you have to treat old riches with respect and treat them as ghosts' belongings. I live with hauntings at home and workplace (family-owned): there are certain items that we cannot throw out.

I would agree with this - every house has its own story. I renovate properties and some of them easily over 100 years old. It DOES tell a story and when things are fixed over the years you can tell great craftsmanship from shoddy work and find all kind of neat things hidden behind walls and under floors... you see the paint colors of styles of yester-year, some of it makes you laugh others inspire a new idea. It's great fun and I am glad this guy and the caretaker take high personal interest in this. It's important.

I LOVE that house!!! I’d live there in a heart beat, ghost and all! All a ghost is, is a person without a physical body. I’m not afraid of people, so why should I be afraid of a ghost? If anything, it adds a certain charm to the home, and just draws me in even more. I’ve had far more then my fair share of encounters with ghosts, and unless it’s a demonic entity, you have nothing to fear....rarely is it negative. Most are either lost souls trying to find their way, or, should that love the home because they lived it in life, and don’t want to leave it. It is quite possible to live in peace and harmony with a ghost,and it’s not scary at all, but comforting instead....I would know, at 51, I’ve lived with a ghost in ever home I’ve ever occupied. Where ever I was depressed or lonely, I’d just speak out loud, and feel their presence, and suddenly feel not so alone, in a wonderful way.

Living in it must be very special, although maybe realizing unusual things may happen, nothing sinister though. It has been loved and respected for a very long time! Seems very homey overall! I have at least two ( that I know of) people in my family as my ancestor that were in the Civil War from Upstate NY. I like the home, the owner and the sweet lady who works there, and seems to also be just part of the family! She is perfect for this home. and to be there with Tony. I lost both parents 2 weeks apart back in 2014 and ever since then up till and including 2019 I get visits from someone mostly at night just when I first go to bed.I can feel the presence of someone so i'm not surprised by their being ghosts.Ghosts don't scare me either since where I grew up was bout 5 mins walk from local cemetery and I have been there and gone inside family crypts with the coffins in their also,doesn't scare me either.I would also love to spend a night in this house too :)

Our home was built in 1998 for us. It had carpet for several years. For about a year, at about 2008, we often heard footsteps, pacing, pacing in circles in the living room. This happened as soon as we went to bed.Once my son was in the living room during early evening. He was home alone and called us to say the pacing was happening in front of him. I don't like carpets, so I pulled it one day. Since then, no more pacing. I thought for sure we would hear it more clearly without carpet.

Such an amazing place..you are a very lucky man to be able to live there & enjoy all of it's excentricities..my Grandfather's home in VA was also haunted..it was truly a great person that lived there before..such a commanding spirit.. but a gentle soul to me..I an very thankful for him being there as I am an only child & Learned so much about the after life from him.. my Mother had died & he was a great comfort..I even was able to see my mother a few times..she let me see so many things that I've learned over the years not to talk about..people just don't understand & death frightens them..it's sad..

What a beautiful house. That's a lot of upkeep for one woman to do. The owner is cool.

The lady in the picture looks upset/angry. I guess it wasn't proper to smile in pictures back then.

Back then, u had to be still, really still, while the camera lens was uncovered briefly, then covered.smiles were hard to hold unmoving for a few minutes...ck history of photography, it's amazing how far it's come!

So true! No one smiled in pictures back then! My ancestors were beautiful and happy; but their pictures look like they were in front of a firing squad! 😲

If you have a good ghost that likes the place they will help protect it. One place I lived had a lovely ghost and when my friend fell asleep leaving a candle burning and it wasnt safe, it came and woke me up and spoke to me quietly and warned me and I was able to prevent a terrible fire developing from this candle which was in a very unsafe place.
@julienielsen37466 жыл бұрын
How do you know it was a ghost. Maybe it was your angel.
@sarahstrong71746 жыл бұрын
@@julienielsen3746 Fair enough comment. You may be right but it somehow seemed connected with the house.
@julienielsen37466 жыл бұрын
Sometimes satan assigns his demons/fallen angels to a place to make it seem like they are the spirits of those who lived there in the past. So, they would stay with a house or place to do this. Satan is crafty.

Also, we all have at least one angel of God assigned to each of us. Which may have protected you.

@Malisa775 жыл бұрын
Steve Curran 😂 It’s kind of a mix with a little French, isn’t it? Haha your comment made me laugh, thanks! 😊
@stevecurran4835 жыл бұрын
Malisa I think there’s a bit Scottish in it. I’m Scottish and can hear it a little. 🙈
@Malisa775 жыл бұрын
Steve Curran I do hear the Scottish. Maybe he picked up a couple different ones, during his travels? I picked up a horrible Southern accent when I went to Louisiana and Georgia 😂 it was embarrassing, and took a while to get rid of when I got home. I wouldn’t mind picking up a beautiful Scottish accent.
@annamarieyoung7225 жыл бұрын
Steve Curran there is definitely a Glasgow, Scottish accent there, but god knows what it’s mixed with.
