Hey Pilps!! I know I’m late to the questioning party but have you played Assassin’s Creed the Ezio collection? I highly recommend it has a fan of history and would also recommend Star Wars empire at war since while I don’t have it, I have heard only amazing things about it and the mods like Thrawn’s revenge and fall of the republic which are still being somewhat supported of the devs who are currently making a World War One game.

thanks for being one of the good ones pilps, and of course, the mentions. always been glad to have you around and actually playing the games while focusing on the gameplay and showing off the truly amazing spectacle possible in gaming, especially these timeless older ones. total war coverage on youtube has now been gravitating so hard away from actually playing the games and towards becoming talking heads just doing 10 minutes of empty talking about hot air. it is a sign of the end times for total war, if anything is. youre the opposite of that and getting mad views (way more than them) from doing it. a massive force for good. and the fact that you dont even use the warhammer games for these videos is honestly just damning of the games. in a way it shows that the "spectacle" and the "humour" (their only alleged appeal) they are going for, just completely falls flat. it ostensibly would be a perfect match for you, but alas, beneath the veneer, there is really nothing there. as good an acid-test as one could come up with, this. also was nice to hear your story about coming across shogun 1. i had a similar super early formative intro to total war so that helps to explain your similar appreciation we have. i also uploaded my first youtube video in 2007 i think, lol. we were doing the same stuff at the same times for much of our lives, it sounds like. also great idea to have a second youtube channel you can use as a passion dump and experimenting. that really helps make being a youtuber more enjoyable and worthwhile feeling. and absolutely, cats are great, theyre so easy and rewarding (unless they get constipated or a kidney stone or something lmao). i currently have a dog (long story but she was not planned) and love her, but my childhood cat was my best friend for years and i would honestly rather have a new cat than new dog and think i will be that way for the rest of my life. also loved the breaking bad reference. best show ever. congrats again on the 100k, and youve already raced to 135k by the time of this video, keep it up and keep doing your thing, and i look forward to seeing what you come up with for the second channel, just subscribed. as someone with such a long history with total war (and sticking to the best games and showing off the best of them passionately), you surely have a lot of thoughts and things worth saying, if you chose to do that. cheers and keep that ball rolling.

If you going to do modded campaigns eventually and you like Med 2 you have to start with Divide & Conquer. It's the best version of Third Age Total War in my opinion and version 5 beta came out last year that adds a whole lot more scripting for events and unique faction mechanics. Also, most of the team I have ever interacted with are super cool and nice so that is always a plus.

Unrelated, but for the question at 13:31, I found a game called Frontline: Karelia, an FPS set during the winter war, that is really well made for a roblox game, giving sort of Hell let loose/Post Scriptum on a smaller scale. Personally, I feel like it would fit your content nicely. There's also another one called Rolling Thunder which takes place during Vietnam, which is like Frontlines: Karelia, but with more CoD-ish mechanics. But then again, it is Roblox after all😅
