Soren, thanks for this video! Let me share the best/worst switch matrix issue I have solved. It was a Getaway that would slam tilt sporadically. After months of tinkering, I finally figured out that it only happened when the left slingshot AND the Shifter Up switch happened at the exact same moment. I took the shifter apart and found that the diode was incorrectly installed on the Shifter Up switch. It was great to have that problem fixed!

I'm very confused on how pinball switch matrix work, why are they using Diodes to use less wires on the hiring harness and what kinds of signals are used on the Row and Column STROBE signals? is the strobe signal a clock signal or what?

Switch matrix issues can be really fun, I mean frustrating. I have one (two actually) that I can't figure out. When the upper right drain switch and lower right drain switch trigger, they also register the top 3 switches in the column. Same issue, but different columns. I don't even really know what to look for since there are several phantoms all happening and they are all in the same column. Any guesses on this one? kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3SlqGx3jNapi6M
