The Pinnacle of Cinema (Big Trouble in Little China)

I loved this movie so much, it was exactly what it meant to be, with the silly dialogue to nonsensical action scenes. honestly it's a must watch if you like campy older movies!

I've never seen your videos before, but this popped up in my feed and as a huge fan of Big Trouble in Little China, John Carpenter, and Kurt Russel, I clicked on it. It warms this old man's heart to see younger folks like you discovering this movie and seeing it for the gem it is. It's campy, but not in a way where it's winking at the camera. Jack really is this confident, no, ARROGANT jackass with more mouth and balls than brains who's able to pull these things off just because he thinks he can, and Kurt Russel is perfect at playing this kind of guy. James Hong is always a delight, and didn't let us down here as Lo Pan. The guy has been making movies since 1955 and was just in Kung-Fu Panda 4 this year at age 95! And the fact that Jack is running around doing these cool guy things with a big crooked lipstick print on him is comedy genius. This movie will always make me think of the time I had my kids on a Friday and I checked the guide and told them it was too bad it was their bedtime, because there was a great movie coming on soon. Long story short, it didn't take too many ""C'mon dad!"s before I relented and we stayed up to watch this. Great video. I'm really glad you liked the movie. For a darker taste of Carpenter and Russel, check out Escape From New York, or even darker, The Thing.

I loved Big Trouble in Little China! It's such a fun adventure, and such crazy things happen. Lo Pan was an amazing villain. He felt like a threat, but he was also really funny at the same time. I enjoyed your review, I can't wait to see what other movies you review next.
