My first “semi compelling screen-saver” in 2025, made with ‪@Google_DeepMind‬ #Veo2. It looked so real, I had to do a BTS for it so don't forget to watch it until the end! Everything is AI except the talking head with the strange accent in the behind the scenes part. When I will have more time I will write about the process and my thoughts, but for now enjoy the video, get ready for the tipping point of genAI video in 2025, and share the links below!

This is both amazing and scary at the same time. If this kind of thing becomes mainstream and more simplified, it will put a LOT of actors out of work. You don't even need voice actors when there are several A.I. companies that can perfectly emulator anyone. Of course, the editing is what makes the final video worth watching since I know there had to a ton of crap imagery to delete before a good scene was made. The one main error I noticed in the whole thing was the floating whistle string in the tennis court scene.

This also puts directors, editors, vfx, producers and “prompters” out of work. The current concept is to turn to full agents at somepoint who deliver the right end product based on your data. Most people just haven't realized this yet. will see what comes the next month to years

This shows the power of editing more than it shows the power of AI. Yes some of the imagery is impressive considering it wasn’t made in real life but if this had been shot for real I bet the edit wouldn’t have been so dictated by what clips didn’t fall apart or make sense. The moment you start going through it in a more methodical way the more it falls apart. Maybe if people only saw flashes of this once or twice I’d be convinced of its value- but we’re not in that age anymore; every commercial is clipped and freeze framed and shared online and as such will continue to fall apart if made by AI. The role of the editor might become more about curation and sifting through the output of an AI, which it is already but at least you’re not sifting through what’s human and what isn’t.

@@laszlo_gaalseriously what's wrong with people today. It's like saying Spielberg's movies are all about the cinematography all the editing. You have someone here that was able to use AI as a tool and master the cinematic language like no other. Editing without shots is nothing. And you need great shots to tell a story. So much jealousy on here. And you know what. AI gives you the same tools to do 'your editing ' version of any story. So let's see those stories, instead of all those useless negative comments.

Thank you for sharing this. It really makes me wonder what the ethical difference is between shooting this fiction and creating it in AI is? When an actor plays in a commercial, are they more credible than an AI created character? What is the difference between a 3D version of this idea and AI from a viewers point of view? Ethically, everything falls apart when you show an AI generated Making of, that could be construed as true. For advertisers, fake ads are a real threat as they are brand disrupters and perfect click bate for bad actors. In the end, the question is not about what is real or not but how can we be sure what is true and what is not?

The degree of moral bankruptcy displayed here deserves an entry in the Guinness Book. You deserve as much credit for this as you do by asking a painter what to paint. There is no merit here. There is no skill being displayed to be admired. There is no craft in finding ways to execute shots. Parading what Automated Incompetence can spit out doesn’t level you up - it actually proves you have no respect for nor interest in the craft of filmmaking. On top of it, you have the nerve to throw in "(...) capturing the characters and these state of the art cars with state of the art camera equipment (...) This is what filmmaking is all about.". Anyone with this amount of vitriol for an artistic expression shouldn't be allowed nowhere near it, so if you work in any capacity in the film industry, I hope you find your happiness doing something else.
