The more I listen to the draft discussions, the more I’m leaning towards the Pistons trading this pick. The vibe I’m getting is there are solid role players, but the Pistons need a shining star. Unfortunately, in 2024 the draft is empty.

@@mbwell My creative idea is keep the pick, hire some adults with the cap space, and trade Ivey and Duren for future picks so that Langdon has some ammo regarding future trades.

@@mbwell Your idea is worse, in my view, because if you trade Cade you have nothing to build around at all and have to tank for 3+ seasons again. Cade is an example of why you tank, while the others are just mediocre prospects.

I was low on Cody Williams but when I heard about his injuries and being in & out, I feel like he could be a steal at 5 IF Risaccher & Reed are gone. Id choose Cody over non-shooters like Ron & Matas and non-defenders like Knecht.

Who would you be trading up for? Because you probably can't trade down: if you don't want the pick it stands to reason nobody else does either.

@@scottwickett1273 I think the Wizards are the most likely suiter. They need a point guard and a center. We can package either Ivey or Duren with the 5th pick for the 2nd and possibly get a little more back. Then we draft either Risacher or Sarr, whichever is on the board at 2. We need a tall shooter who can make a defensive impact too. That’s both these guys.

whats the infatuation w clingan, kessler part 2 can only play 20 min.. his passing ability is cause teams collapse on him and everyone was open please no!!! ..would rather trade down and take ware,holmes jr...or and even missi...for rim protection, holmes n ware can strecth the centers position...clingan may be ok for a team like Orlando or Oklahoma that can be 1 piece away that can be just a 12-15 min rim protection
