Wow. Just wow. Before I heard about the Pixar Theory, I thought it was that all the kids in the Universe have toys that move while they are not around, and every kid had a monster. A Bug's Life was going on at the same time in continuity, just in the grass. Finding Nemo was happening underwater as well as in Australia, superheroes also existed but all these movies came out during the time period that superheroes were banned back in the beginning of the Incredibles. Cars is non-canon, Ratatouille was going on in France during this time period, Wall-E takes place in the far future, Up also takes place sometime during the timeline of superheroes being banned. Brave takes place in medieval Scotland in the same universe, and everybody in the Pixar universe have five different emotions inside of their mind, which leads to Inside Out taking out in the same universe. I think the way I originally thought it was going to be is far superior than the actual theory.

+Annie Luo "The way I always saw the Pixar Theory was something that was fun to think about, but that very few people actually took seriously." If you take a look at the comments, hopefully you'll know better. Apparently legions of people think a huge story of genocide and despair is fun, and they take it so seriously that any remarks made against said story is enough to warrant some of the ugliest insults imaginable. "it didn't profit, demand anything from people, or hurt anyone. It wasn't a scam, or even a dumb kickstarter" Didn't profit? The creator of this theory is selling a BOOK outlining the theory in every minute detail, and it demands (and convinces!) people to completely turn off their brains and blindly accept it as irrefutable fact. THAT is hurting people. "What I saw was similar to a kid going up to a group of other kids playing around and adamantly insisting that the floor isn't lava and that it's idiotic to think so." If those kids were so terrified of the floor that they couldn't even leave their beds INSTEAD of regarding it as a simple game, then yes, I'd say something to reassure them that they're perfectly safe. "Instead, you basically express incredulity at how anyone could believe in this or that, using a tone that insults anyone who might believe in the Pixar Theory but wanted to watch your video for a different view." I'm sorry you interpreted it that way, but all I'm doing is pointing out how this theory doesn't make sense. Nowhere do I insult anyone for believing in this theory. "You make a point to talk about how someone would need to really reach for some of these events, but behind you is a wall of comic book covers - many of which feature storylines containing time travel, evil technology, super intelligent mutant animals, and magic in the same universe." Yes, and everything you just mentioned has actually been ESTABLISHED in those stories. The Pixar Theory only works because its creator had to IMAGINE things that, as far as the movies themselves are concerned, don't exist. But if anyone wants to try to make up some ridiculous theory that links all of my comics of various locations, time periods, and universes together and if they successfully fool millions of people into thinking that it's the truth INSTEAD of a piece of fanfiction, I just might rebutt against that too. "You mock any holes in the theory, but also don't take any time to point out anything that does make sense or fits to you (something they teach us in any basic English and Speech class when making a presentation)." And if NOTHING in the theory makes sense or fits to me, then there's nothing for me to point out, is there? "Also just plain unnecessary, ( though I'll watch an unnecessary video that presents its points in a balanced way before I watch a video that's completely relevant but also arrogant and patronizing as yours)" You yourself opened this conversation with expressing how you don't subscribe to the Pixar Theory. I could easily argue that you speaking out against something you AGREE WITH is unneccesary, arrogant, and patronizing simply because you disagree with the tone I took. "I agree with you, but this video's pointless because you didn't say it nicely enough!" -_-

I'm actually starting to get sick and tired of cinematic universes. Not only does each set of cinematic universe movies struggle to stay in continuity, they constantly bash you over the head about how they're in the same continuity and it leaves us with an overall lack of complete and closed-circuit stories. At first I liked the Pixar theory. I thought that it was cool and entertaining. But no matter how many times I looked at it, the ending was always stupid to me. It doesn't make sense how monsters got children's screams/laughter if they didn't have energy in the first place.Where did they get the energy to build Monsters, Inc.? Or the energy to time travel? By the Pixar theory's logic, the monsters are using energy they don't have in the first place to get energy that they need to power a city that they shouldn't have because they never had the energy to build it in the first place! The whole Boo being a witch thing is ridiculous. Where did she learn how to time travel if she lives in the early 21st century? According to the theory, Boo planted all of the easter eggs in the movies. Can't easter eggs just be easter eggs? After watching this video, all of the theory sounds stupid to me. I choose not to believe it because it makes the lighthearted Pixar movies of my childhood look post-apocalyptic and it's depressing to me. I won't be able to look at A Bug's Life and Monsters, Inc. the same ever again.

if the doors used by Monsters Inc. to collect scream energy are actually Time Machines, shouldn’t there be more noticeable changes in the present? I think all the films about animals may happen in the same universe: Bug's Life, Ratatouille and Nemo for example,as they all show sentient animals. Toy Story might be in the same universe of Brave and yes the witch's magic could be behind the toys' sentience, but that's it. Cars and The Incredibles are clearly separate universes from the rest impossible to connect. We see animals in Toy Story and they don't seem sentient, so do the animals also fake around toys that they're not sentient? and how is Lotso or Barbie a machine? the theory doesn't work when you include all the movies in it.

All we see in WALL-E is his dedication to his job, curiosity over what humanity has left behind, and desire for a friend. That's all. "you constantly steal traits from other and better reviewers, such as: the wall of cult icons from Chris Stuckmann, the unnecessary loud voice of Linkara, and the zany adventures from many Channel Awesome reviewers." Never heard of Chris Stuckmann, I could do a MUCH better job of doing Linkara's voice if I so desired, and the closest thing to ripping off a zany Channel Awesome adventure was my storyline for Star Wars month (not a lot of room for a constantly in there). The Author has since added "The Good Dinosaur" to the theory as the NEW beginning, then threw a fit when someone made fun of said movie.Also if this is the *PIXAR THEORY* why is *PLANES* in it? I like the Pixar theory a lot but the one thing I hate about it is that it's called the pixar *theory* . I think it works so much better a game of sorts, seeing how people can fit them together but still acknowledging the fact that its obviously just a fanon project with no intention of being true. I think if people just viewed it like this then it would reduce misinformation as well we open up the door for other similar collaborative fanon projects

I never liked this theory, I think some of it works though, I like the idea of all of the smart animals being in the same universe (though I don't buy them knowing each other like the Ratatouille to Up "connection") but that's it. Car's has flashbacks to the 1950's/1960's when The Incredibles was taking place and there's no humans and their world is clean, there's no way to connect that universe even with a ton of mental gymnastics. Toy Story toys appear in Finding Nemo, did they not come to life there or did the fish just not care that toys would have been wondering around the waiting room? It's possible that there could be several universes though and that WALL-E works in all except Car's but there's still not enough proof. Animators love putting in Easter Eggs. Car's and the Monster world are their own universes, it's possible that the others could maybe be one universe but I doubt it. The Monsters are definitely going into at least one parallel universe though so they could be going into any except Car's.

Finally, someone taking apart this theory. While I like the idea of fan theories (like the ash coma theory or this one), I generally dislike people who take it as canon and ignore the ACTUAL canon so their belief in the theory holds water to them. Dude, the theory may be acepted, but it was debunked by Pixar itself. However, you are just wrong in the time travel part. Not defending the theory or anything, but when you travel to the past to scare a child (as this so called theory suggests), gatter their energy and then travel to that exact time to scare that same child, you would find yourself scaring the child and not take its place, so you can't get unlimited energy the way you're explaining. That time travel idea seems to be pretty comon, but it's not true; kind of reminds me to Back To The Future. Sorry for my bad english.

+Bobsheaux Of course. I am of course with you in the minority that think this theory is bogus. Like I stated before, how could Boo become The Witch from Brave if the events that The Witch caused had already happened? That was the biggest question mark I had when I first read the theory.
@Bobsheaux9 жыл бұрын
+AmishParadise27 I don't have a problem with time paradoxes like that. No, MY problem is the implication that Boo had to lose her mind to come to the conclusion that THIS was the only way she could see Sully after what must have been a REALLY HARD separation, and worst of all, she NEVER achieved what she set out to do. THAT'S why I can't let the Pixar Theory go without at least TRYING to undo the damage it's done; because it's a testament to madness, hopelessness, and futility. Is THAT what the Pixar movies are supposed to be about?
@AmishParadise279 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Well you won't see me complain about how you were wrong. The theory is bogus. And you're right. Pixar films bring out the best and not the worst. I kinda hate it when people make negative implications or dark, adult theories to stuff that is mostly carefree "children's" mediums (like I'm a really big fan of Winnie the Pooh and get really offended when people affiliate the characters with sex and violence when that's *NOT* what the characters stand for). I don't blame you for getting angry, I would too, as I am as much a Pixar fanatic as you are.

And not to mention Easter eggs were used to prove the Frozen and Tangled connection like Rapunzel and her husband attending at Elsa’s coordination even they are just Easter eggs, they are not canon. That is just like saying that Mickey, Donald, and Goofy can breathe underwater just because they are seen in the concert in the Little Mermaid and besides Rapunzel was born in the Medival Times while Elsa and Anna weren’t born until the very early 1800s so Rapunzel would be a skeleton during the time when frozen takes place

Are people actually ANGRY? You all know this theory is just that right? A THEORY. (Not the SCIENCE definition of "theory", the average everyday definition) I do like this theory, but if someone wants to poke holes in something that ultimately has no effect on the world, they are allowed to. Also, I dunno, If you wanna make the argument with everything from Toy's Story to Wall-e belonging in the same universe, that would make more sense since after the release of Toy Story, the main executives at Pixar came up with the basic ideas for their later movies up until Wall-e all at once. But including Brave in it and just adding movies in as they come out just does not make sense. Especially since there recently was a movie that took place in prehistoric times. That fact pretty much launched a flaming arrow at the entire theory's base.

If any one really wanted to make a theory for the Pixar movies, the best food for thought would be that all the movies are just a kid playing with his toys. This would make a way better theory than whatever this whole Pixar Theory nonsense is.

Do you want to know what bothers me that wasn't covered in this video, the tree that appears in Bugs Life is also the tree that appears at the beginning of Up and in Jesse's song in Toy Story 2, just on a hill. By that logic the Toy Story Trilogy and Up take place after Wall•E.

The only "Pixar theory" I believe is that the toy repair guy from Toy Story 2 is Geri from the short before Bug's Life (I mean, it's obviously the same guy; I think it's even the same voice actor), and Geri was playing that game in the park where the ant colony in A Bug's Life lives (the two locations look especially similar). But I hate that Pixar Theory you talk about in this video. It'd be important to admit that while some movies do take place in the same universe others do not. What's interesting is the fact there is more reasonably 2 or 3 universes in the Pixar films. The one where animals 'talk', and the one where robots have pseudo-sentience. Nemo remains in the animal universe and cars exists as its own fantasy thing. The problem ultimately is the easter eggs in Finding Nemo and Ratatouille. Which...arn't...'easter eggs'. Simply because in Finding Nemo a kid is reading an incredibles comic book while in Ratatouille someone is wearing Incredibles brand underwear.. I shall attempt to link together the movies in 3 universes as...reasonable as possible. Animal talk Universe - The Good Dinosaur, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Brave, and the Incredibles, Cars Universe - Cars, Cars 2, Planes, and Planes 2 "Greater" Pixar Universe - Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Monsters Inc., WALL-E, Up, Monsters University, and Inside Out, A Bug's life. I truthfully can believe and get behind the theory that Pixar films can be connected to each other. But I do not believe -all- of them are connected to one another. The short listings above are the..most reasonable ones for each Pixar Universe. The Incredibles technology-wise runs in line with Ratatouille as well as Finding Nemo. To top it off there is an Easter egg in each movie which points directly back to the Incredibles in a *reasonable* way. That being of course Incredibles brand underwear and a comic book. The hardest to fit in for each Universe would be the Incredibles and Bug's life simply because Bug's life -should- be in the Animal talk universe while Incredibles in the "Greater" Universe. The problem with that is the Incredibles has two massive easter eggs which throw back to two movies while Bug's life has numerous throw backs to Toy Story as well as the lack of magic in Bug's life on top of that.

There is actually a very good explanation as to how the pixar films are related in the same universe. All of the characters are actors working for pixar, which explains how there are references and jokes relating to other films, and also explain post credits sequences showing 'outtakes' from the film. The animators at pixar have actually created these entire worlds for each film, and they are aware of each other and recognise the animators as the crew of the films in the same way real life actors do. The only difference between this theory and the main theory is that mine is kinda fun to think of and the other one is a giant fucking stretch
