This lesson is great and has helped a lot. However, only begin with an up strum the first time you play the E chord ( from there its DDDDU with emphasis on the third Down strum) and Play the B chord on the 7th fret of the E string with an F major shape ( it gives it the power the song needs) Also when you play the last part of the lead guitar riff, play: 4s5--5s4--4s5- with the high e at 4,5 and 4 while holding it a bit after you slid into the 5, 4 and 5. The last time you play the riff (just before the chorus) it is as explained above. The Solo is Spot On! I really appreciate the time and effort that went into figuring it out.

Thanks, I recently bought Rocksmith in order to improve a bit to the guitar. It's a good game but it won't explain me the strumming pattern. You did that well! The only thing that is missing to be absolutely perfect would be to have the tab while you're playing but in this song they are useless.
@guitarmadeez11 жыл бұрын
Thanks weedshot! Yeah I try to make it as easy as possible and I've heard a ton about rocksmith but havent tried it. Would you say its best for beginners or works for everyone? About the tabs, I used to tab everything out but due to current court cases over tablature I'd rather not go down that road. Besides, the best thing I ever did for myself was to quit going online and looking for tabs. It becomes a crutch. If you try to figure stuff out by ear, you activate a portion of your brain that matures incredibly fast. Yes, the comfort zone is gone but the musical world gets INCREDIBLY BIGGER!!! Thanks for watching my videos :)

@SikoSoft9 жыл бұрын
During the 3:00 minute you seem to do 2 different strumming patterns for C#m. The first time, at 3:08, you do up, down, down, down, down, up (in the same way as the E chord). But seconds later at 3:23 you are saying down, down, down, down, up (omitting the first up strum, in the same manner as the following G#). I am suspecting that the first bit at 3:08 was incorrect. Can you clarify?
@spennickproductions9 жыл бұрын
+SikoSoft it doesn't really matter, it happens so many times no one will notice, just listen and play it as close as possible. With that said, I'd say it's up, down, down, down, down, up.
@guitarmadeez9 жыл бұрын
+spennickproductions Couldnt have said it better :)
@SikoSoft9 жыл бұрын
thanks folks. I noticed from playing it a lot lately, that omitting that first up-strum on E (in all but the first time you enter the song) is what works best to keep the rhythm of your hand consistent. I admit I'm a little overly anal here and focusing on the wrong things. My guitar teacher explained to me that it's not about necessarily copying the exact strumming verbatim but making it come out good on time (I've only been playing a year now so sometimes I am focusing on the wrong things)
@guitarmadeez9 жыл бұрын
Yeah I hear ya, Don't be too hard on yourself. There really is no right or wrong here. Of course play what you want to play and learn the rendition that sounds like the original to you but at the end of the day, most people/listeners won't hear the difference... :D
