I just acquired the j10a as the last top tier jer to get, and is on my way to spade it. But i gotta say. Every time i see a video of 8.7-9.7 i just wanna jump back down there. It’s by far the most fun br bracket. A br bracket where skill matters and you’re able to push against the odds with pure skill, rather than eating an amraam because you can’t look in 4 direction.

I love the J-10, but man do I hate top tier. It gets repetitive very fast and the only real fm requirement you need to worry about is retaining enough energy to notch multiple missiles (looking at you SU-27/SMT). The only br where I can get an ace and still feel like I'm not having fun. (I pressed the same 3 buttons over and over again and got kills)

For me it's either 3.3 or 4.7, I always have fun when I go there in arcade (it's just fun, I'm not grinding anything, not stressing over results, just having fun), for air realistic however, it seems 8.3 for me is ideal

i firstly learned about this not being like other a4's when I went vertical against it in MiG17 short after a-4n ayit was added; he didn't missile me but he clowned my engine power and made me lose the fight instead.

the 9.3-9.7 range is such a disaster, quite a few 9.7-10.0 planes with insane missiles that destroy them but as soon as they fight planes with flares theyre way worse

A-4H at 8.3 is also absolutely criminal. The middle underbelly gunpod adds drag, but the performance is still way above other 8.3s and the 30mms can be aimed easily enough using the gunpod. No missiles, but not necessary at 8.3.

It's amazing in SIM as well. At a super low BR you have access to a plane that can defend itself in a dogfight and can bring 2x walleye and 3xmavericks + 2 aim9. And you dont know how much guided weapons make the difference in sim.

I just noticed, Defyn doesn’t save his takeoff boosters for fights. That extra 5 seconds of takeoff thrust will actually auto win a dogfight.

No it wont It makes no difference in any practical sense All the speed you gain is gone in half a second if you turn The amount of times it will come down to that small amount of extra thrust is probably once in your life

​@@DEFYN I played a lot with the ayit and only got use of the boosters once in a dogfight against a mirage, when we both were rate fighting, he was slowing down quicker and getting on my 6, and when we both were slow, I pitched up using the boosters, did kinda of a loop, got on his 6 and managed to shoot the mirage on the back of the head while he was too slow. Indeed a one in a million situation tho

Tried my Sea Vixen lately. These are not as scary one to one. Dodging the F-104 and early Mig-21 spam. getting 3rd partied by Ayit was frequient. Most Sea Vixen games 9.3 and 9.7. It is a good time to fly and make money with Mig-21S and German-SPS

Everyone else seems to consistently get better tech tree and premium versions of very iconic US aircraft. Still waiting for USA to get a premium version of a late skyhawk with an engine that has more power than a bicycle. The A4M would be nice as a premium US Skyhawk good CAS options (which is what matters for a skyhawk) and should perform basically the same as the Ayit when it comes to A2A. Its absolutely ridiculous that everyone else gets better variants of US stuff than USA, yet USA gets some of the worst and thats it.

This is really a pick your poison type of deal F100 is a fat whale thats faster than a lot but the things that catch it destroy it F3H is ok but its relatively slow and dumps a lot of speed F104 is still incredibly fast but doesn't turn at all anymore. Personally id grind SL untill you can play the F2 and forget about those 3
