Hey guys what’s happening? Niyat here with film comics explained.
The "Planet of the Apes" franchise, spanning over 55 years, features a few distinct continuities over 9 live-action films and one television series. The films introduce us to a planet where apes have reached the pinnacle of civilization, reducing humans to a subjugated, enslaved class.
The first timeline included five movies made in the late 60’s and early 70’s, all fitting into a single closed loop. The era also included a short-lived 1974 TV series, reimagining the first film's narrative over 14 episodes in a new timeline. It was then rebooted in 2001 by Tim Burton.
A decade later, the franchise was reinvigorated once again with a phenomenal reboot trilogy featuring Andy Serkis as Caesar. This new continuity showcased a world where humans were dominant, slowly transitioning to one where apes ascend to power, a rise precipitated by human actions.
The recently released "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" basically picks up where the reboot trilogy left off, and today, we’re going to explore the events in each live-action film, culminating with a breakdown and review of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Andy Serkis is an unbelievably talented actor, but has also made some really boneheaded commends in the past. When VFX and Animators went on strike a while back, he made the VERY asshole comment of "I already did 99% of the work. What's there left to do? All they do is put digital makeup on the actors." (paraphrased). He lost a LOT of supporters in the movie/game industry that day.

I have always loved the original movies. And with the last one finishing several centuries short of when thr first started, I always took the series as a closed paradox. Taylor has to go to the future in order for the Apes to take over, and something happens between the scene with the law giver and when Taylor arrives thdt causes Apes to turn on humans

Escape was always the film requiring the biggest suspension of disbelief, how exactly did Milo know where Taylor's craft had sunk? How did he drag it up from the water? How did he repair a waterlogged complex spaceship, with tech far beyond that which was available to the apes? Fuel? Launchpad? And all this in the time between PotA and Beneath, biggest plothole ever

Personally my favorite franchise as a whole spanning for nearly 60 years... unfortunately I was born in the 1990s so only my mother and father bare witnessed the 5 original films but yes I remember when the 2001 film was released and at the time i was only 7 or 8 years old same year as JP 3 and the mummy returns also for comparisons both walking with beasts and BBC the lost world with the late Bob hoskins came out same year too and both were good in their own right but when a decade went by and I got my education behind me when rise of the planet of the apes came out I was about to graduate highschool in 2012... I for one love the recent movies the ceaser trilogy is remarkable and tells compelling story of the apes side of the story from basically the villains if you will to understand them better like a brother bear kind of way if you will and mind you this came out before the year of the villain in the 2020s became a thing... Ill be seeing the kingdom of the planet of the apes this month and hopefully see how noas story plays out as a start with kingdom being like rise in a way like how Jurassic world is to the first Jurassic Park... And looking forward to seeing the rest of the new trilogy and upcoming 3rd trilogy as some rumors being there will be 9 movies in all of the new saga as a whole. Also want more planet of the apes content check out the KZbin channel ape nation highly recommend he did reviews of all the movies and even kingdom and right now he's going over the short lived TV series and even the short live animated series... What you think of doing reviews on the video game planet of the apes last frontier and idk maybe for upcoming Halloween maybe Dracula 2000 or the howling... I mean want something even more frightening try reviewing HBO Max's velma lol yeah no ill spare you that fate my friend we already have many other KZbinrs doing that for you and sparing your sanity hoping to God it don't get a part 3 or season 3 whatever you call it... Anyway love your content keep up the hard work man great channel and great videos. ☺️👍
