Both of these sets are much better than the Plastic Soldier Company's late war American Infantry. I felt cheated when I realized I could not field a full rifle company. Almost half the set was BAR rifles. There were to many BAR rifle guys and springfield rifle snipers and even bazookas. At most I believe it is possible to get 2 platoons if you scrounge and cut corners. And that may be to generous of a statement. You get MANY useless models in the set. The models look good. They are way to thin to compare to FoW though. If you do another video I would like to see the Market Garden German infantry sets and the a9 / a10 cruiser tank sets. I am a devoted fan and look forward to new installments.

+Ronald Brow (HestonFan) Hi - I've not seen the US infantry so it's interesting to read what you have to say. When you say Market Garden Germans what set are you referring to please? I've reviewed PSC's Late-War Germans and BF recent plastic PGs and US infantry.

I meant the German grenadiers in Normandy and the German fallschirmjaher. The grenadiers look like they use ponchos as camo. Stay away from those Americans. I do not mind the gluing of bits that PsC is known for. The American set uses the 2 part figures extensively. If you cut out the arms from the sprue it is very hard to figure out what goes where. It did not bother me but I know people hate it. I forgot to mention how may SmG armed figures there are. The percentages are all off.

I actually don't mind the old Soviets but I do admit they were hard to put together. What they did was take their 1/72 scale models and scale them down for 15mm and up for 28mm. In 1/72 (I have 2 boxes worth) assembly isn't so bad as the parts are bigger. In 15mm I almost put a gun to my head. Well, not really but it was a grind.

+Dan Morgan Indeed, I have two boxes of their 28mm version and while they serve their purpose (esp. considering the low pricetag) they don't have all that much detail. It's clear that these first figures were a test and I've since very much enjoyed the newer range of 15mm infantry like the regular British.

No, not really. None of them have that characteristic backpack.

My method was to glue the minis on, use Vallejo pumice paste to build the texture, paint Earth colour, wash dark earth colour, dry brush light earth colour, use pva to glue scatter flock down. Done
