The Platters were great favourites but we didn't have records or a record player then so it was the radio where we got our appreciation of music from (and Mum God bless her). This song shows their brilliant talents, the lead singer has a wonderful voice and the backing singers are fantastic. Please listen to more of the music from that era sweetheart, they made some great music and the singers had great voices, you wont be disappointed. Your reactions were wonderful to watch and listen to, you said about hearing every word he sang and I know one of my Grandmothers would have praised his diction which was perfect lol.
