Haha, for sure! To be fair, I'm holding off for just a few days with AMFS. I ordered the update kit with the new rulebook/scenario book/player aids. (Our color printer didn't do the best job with the stuff I printed out.) But I should be back in action soon, and am planning to put video on the channel of gameplay.

Bitten and Lab 257 are two books about Plum Island that I would recommend. Interesting history that involves near releases of bioweapons, Nazis, and even Osama Bin Ladin. There was a storm that almost lead to a major release of animal diseases.

Takes some serious concentration, planning and housekeeping to play solo. Lots of stuff on the table! Its fun solo but I think an extra person in there with input will be tremendously helpful. It can all go south rather quickly which I like in a game.

@@ZillaBlitz Probably alot longer than it will take after more familiarization. 4 hours maybe. I was playing pretty cautious. In solo mode I think more time goes to planning than if you had a partner or two who will have a pre-planned move ready. Of course, you know what they say about best laid plans...Even though your two factions get two pulls each those units are still trying to work within your plans you've made for them and most need to be killers. With 3 or 4 factions you can designate entire factions to evacuation and or supply whereas with only 2 you have to rob your fighting force to do that stuff. (make sense?) It really is a tough game. Won 1 game of 3 with my back to the Docks, VFW Park and Police HQ with murderous hordes in front of me and still wouldn't bet a dime I played it 100% correct...

Hint: PIRLSS and the Constables make a great front line force! PIRLSS has the hazmat suits so don't suffer a bio block in close combat. Blart is a bad*** so put him on point!

Thanks for the preview! I really wish the board layout was oriented for solo play. The humor in this game is great and I think you're totally right - replay value is higher than you might initially think because of all the variable elements (chits, cards, factions, etc...) in the components.

Ah, yes, I can see your point. I do think I'd be inclined to see facing the wider side of the board. Not a big deal, but I do understand what you are saying. For 3- or 4-person games, though, you'd likely want it the way it is now, so it makes sense to do it that way. I think another thing on the game's depth is its difficulty. From what I'm hearing, it sounds like it's going to take a few attempts before you come out victorious. :)

I've not played Dawn of the Zeds, but I'd guess the biggest difference is perhaps complexity. Largely speculating, but I think the ruleset of this game is bigger and deeper than Dawn of Zeds. I might be wrong though.
