At the beginning of the Sino-US dialogue in Alaska a few days ago, the United States blatantly criticized China’s genocide in Xinjiang, Hong Kong’s pro-democratic suppression, Taiwan’s independence, cyber attacks, and trade restrictions with US allies. The US representative first took longer than it took the two sides to reach a consensus. The United States does not abide by a decent diplomatic agreement. What a savage treatment of invited guests. Why is the United States so low in the eyes of people all over the world today?

In the Alaska high-level Sino-US diplomatic meeting on 2021-03-20, China boldly displayed Pride and Confidence as a young nation with ancient civilization heading full speed for Rejuvenation after 120 years of suppression and domination by the West. What worth analyzing is the confidence and commitment of interpreter Zhang Jing of the China team. The professional ability of Zhang Jing is well reflected in her 14-minute long English version of Yang's assertive and defensive assertion of China's position and perspective against the accusations by Blinken. Of greater psycho-political significance was Zhang's guts to intervene Yang by requesting to give her a chance to translate after Yang already instructed Wang to say a word or two. To me, Zhang's significance was that she had bravely SEIZED the moment and chance, and delivered the Message - the gist of which many nations in the world dare not utter a word since WWII in the face of domination of Coercive Power by the US. This 14-minute long Message has been awaited by the World for more than 70 years. When a young Chinese lady translator can display her gusts to tell a nation with the highest summation of Warheads to back off, to rectify, to behave..... You can be sure a new world order is emerging.

The US sides should not make demands in the discussion because the main agenda of the meeting is to work on bilateral issues that could benefit both country in the long run. This meeting is not at a level of the victorious and the defeated where the winner could make demands from the losers. Thus, China's diplomats hard hit bashing of the US statements of accusations and demand is timely and appropriate. If US is sincere about the meeting, they should agree not to interfere with the internal and political affairs of China. They should instead discuss about the needs to dismantle existing hurdles and to work closely on trade and economics relationships that could benefit both nations. Anything short of the above means the US has not changed its aggressive position against China and the loggerheads could not be resolved.

This is my take of the country "CHINA" or Middle Kingdom. Eversince The Qin Dynasty unified CHINA, till the last dynasty of Qing (Manchu). They have been wars after wars, millions and millions of Chinese has perished. Famine has caused millions common people died. Invasion of eight foreign colonisers and occupiers trying to break up Chinese. After these foreign powers were defeated. Some managed to colonised Hong Kong and Macau for 100 years. During that period civil war break out. Mao Communist party have defeated many Warlords. Warlord Chang Kai Sak were driven to Taiwan island. During this period China became very poor and yet China has to pay compensation to these foreign occupiers. The CPC has to solve its famine. Why such devastation happen. It is because of CORRUPTIONS, RELIGIOUS IDEALOGY has caused disharmony and interfered in the government. A country can be sold. That's why Xi is fighting corruptions so seriously and fight religious extremism. Now these five eyes and foreign powers are trying again to break up China, with propaganda of HONG KONG, TAIWAN, TIBET AND XINJIANG.

Australia, Japan and South Korea all have a trade surplus with China. China is relatively more friendly towards the US which has a massive trade deficit with China. The US behaves like China in that respect and doesn't seem to like countries it has major trade deficits with and China being at the top of the list. Now because China can't be a trusted trade partner prices of commodities imported into China will rise compared to more trusted customer. Trump put tariffs on everything Chinese so about 35,000 products something like that, Australia put tariffs on 104 and fully explained why very openly through a process, about half these products were not just China, this only occured if it was the only country exporting to Australia. China it would appear did pretty much the same thing with coal in other words a bit of protectionism, China probably wanted the price of coal to go up so their miners not losing money with the glut of thermal coal which has many mines operating at a loss. China took things one step further and decided on blatant trade sanctions on certain primary produce and a list of grievances we apparently need to rectify such as our free media reporting on China unfavourably sometimes. Australian free media reports unfavourably on our own governments all the time so for China to list that as a grievance was ridiculous. This very channel has copied Trump rhetoric calling everyone else fake news which doesn't even make sense. China and the Trump US had a lot in common. It's pretty impolite to refer to every country China has an issue with as dogs, China won't win any friends that way except from Trump nationalists in the US who think along similar lines actually.

No doubt the Chinese officials are right against the interference of US into its internal affairs in case of China's sovereignty in recognition of the One China Policy, alongside the One-China Two System policy - over Hong Kong, Taiwan, Sin-jiang including the Uygurs, and Tibet - all of which are specialized autonomous region that in a lot of sense means these provinces are free and by large very democratic to govern themselves, short of any move to become independent as they are historically Chinese territories. The best example is the case of Hong Kong that in the last 22 years China never interfered even during the handling of the recent protests that lasted for one and half year except to insert the security act particularly against terrorism which all countries have as in the name of national security included it in their respective basic laws, and even after the protests except to arrest would-be protestors who have crossed over the line and destroyed public properties if only to enforce public order prevent future disorder - as in the case of the arrest of certain of local protestors who went too far and stormed the US capitol at the height of the US election. It is this future disorder in the form of local civil war that is feared that will find Chinese fighting against Chinese even only at the local level due to foreign interference or that is what foreigners like the US, UK, Canada and Australia would like to see happen - so the need for all Chinese to unite. In the case of HK that of fighting among HK-pro-democracy faction and those HK favoring Mainland Chinese, in the case of Taiwan that of fighting among it pro-democracy faction and the Kuomintang party that favor unification with Mother China, In the case of Tibetians most of whom favor modernity and progress as against that led by the Dalai Lama and his nonsense God-King stature when humility is what they should teach among others, and in the case of Sin-jiang where there is disinformation that they are being held in labor camps branded as attempts at genocide to eliminate their native language, when the truth is that over 65 years of social integration from out of the extremist cases in the mid-80's, China in the last ten years or so has set up instead educational camps basically to teach the local Uygurs to speak Chinese without abandoning their local Uygur dialect nor their religion or culture, so they can be hired by fellow Chinese or be given the chance to do business more easily with the fellow Chinese to avoid the language barrier that may in turn may sow confusion like before. Such possible internal strife as mentioned should be prevented or disallowed at all times that give justification to the Tian An Men Square incidents that saw the need for Deng Shao Ping to get rid of the 1,000 mostly HK students demonstrators no matter how painful a decision it is, but for the unity and order of the entirety of China no matter what the costs - in stating this we hope our HK and Taiwan pro-democracy leaders and supporters come to understand that importance of unity and strength of us as a Chinese nation and being Chinese people in our homelands or abroad as we cannot hide the color of our skin or English slurs. This is so, as It is becoming more relevant, that in the recent rise in Anti-Asian racial sentiments especially in the US and elsewhere today - particularly against the Chinese in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the widespread lie in naming it the Wuhan to China Virus by then US President Trump who everybody knew was unfit to rule and left not only the US now under Biden in a Great Divide and economic instability but the entire world in chaos since he declared the Trade War that affected not only China but the rest of its usual traditional European partners - with the latter as a bargaining chip to force them to join the US in bullying China. Thus, whether you are Chinese-American and being Asian-American, or Taiwanese or Hong Konger you will be mistreated including being beaten up and even killed - in the same exact way as they looked down on our brown color Malay neighbors, and no less our African-American and black color brothers. We will be looked upon like dogs by the same white supremacist foreigners who bark profane language like mad dogs at us - so who are the dogs. This is because we cannot take it anymore. As to systems of government, as history will tell us, it doesn't matter whether you are a democracy lest you be labeled a banana republic or socialism (with much to praise for most of eastern Europe) or communism and similar autocratic states which in fact Trump takes to liking to being a president for life as in the likes of Putin and Jiang Xi among others during his campaign speeches - and taking all these aside, what matters is good leadership - by example - a thing that should be part of every educational course in installing in the future youth to be active part of national building, not merely being Proud Boys.

Very illuminating. The American a research fellow (a really, really smart person). It did not accrue to him while Americans may feel comfortable talking about your own problems and criticizing others [Because it is the American value?] that you can speak about your values and even promote, but You can not force your value onto others.

Nathan is trying to save face for the US. CGTN, politely, lets him. However, Yang's "We thought too well of you," reached both domestic audiences and revealed a lot more than a "domestic message." Yang speaks for the world.

While it is indeed clear that Blinken's remarks were geared to domestic American politics (_anything_ today is all about domestic self-absorption for America), it is ridiculous for any observer to say that the Yang Jiechi's comments were that way, that is, for Chinese domestic consumption. It reveals a complete misunderstanding of China and its political system.

As the guests of the US Government, China's delegation performed professionally & respectfully. As hosts, the US delegation performed miserably and displayed unprofessional and disrespectful characteristics of spoiled brats. The commencing attitude of US Secretary of State, Mr Antony Blinken, has been very wrong. Mr Antony Blinken carries with him an air of arrogance of which "USA would engage China from a position of strength! " What kind of attitude was that? Foolish, arrogant & embarassing description fit the US delegation aptly.

As an American who is loyal to principles not principalities, I freely express my analyses and opinion about my American Government. It is very easy for antisocial personality disordered people with no social conscience {corrupted} to get on a ballot, lie to the voting public and be elected into government office. The US government is infected with antisocial sociopaths making the US government antisocial in the psycho/antisocial pathological sense. In this sense the US government has no social conscience it is acting exactly like a sociopath... Ask the question How does the US government system keep genetic and epigenetic antisocial personality disordered people off the ballot and out of government office? Once they get in how long does it take to get them out? American style democracy is easy pickings for sociopaths to move in and take over... I see that this cannot happen in China's present government. Kudos to China's well functioning Democratic Socialism with Chinese characteristics.

I think Neysun Mahboubi showed the world exactly how arrogant the US position is with regard to China. He stares the "American Position:. I wonder if he has considered the "American position" before the wars with Iraq and Syria. Or Vietnam, or Iran, Libya? Perhaps Afghanistan? El Salvador? Is that the "Freedom and democracy" America wants for China Mr Mahoubi?

The problem with Blinken is that he comes from a family background heavily shrouded in Holocaust sentiment and the Holocaust industrial complex and the Wall Street financial complex are the interests he champions ahead of the interests of the american commoners.

I'll use a quote the Red Chinese government use to state back in the 60's to the American people: "We love the American people, but dislike the American government". The situation has reversed: "We in the West like the Chinese people, but hate their authoritarian police state dictatorship. I don't even hate Communism--- it's an economic system based on the writings of Carl Marx, not a government. The Chinese government is just another run of the mill authoritarian police state dictatorship. They are not Marxists in any way, shape, or form, and never were. Until the Chinese government transforms into a full blown Democracy, they are enemies to the west. The wealthy in the USA, and other countries who mistakenly moved manufacturing to Red China for extremely greedy reasons should be highly taxed to pay for the repatriation of manufacturing back to the countries they originated.

The US invited the Chinese for talks while the day before, the US sanctioned a dozen or so Chinese officials and the Chinese had Instant Noodles for lunch. Someone pointed out that for all the bombs that the US was dropping in the Middle East, the US could have dropped one bomb less and use the money to buy meals for their invited guess instead.

Then talk about it. Start with the illegal wars the US went into and how are they going to compensate for that and punish the perpetrators? Talk about Guantanamo and what happens there. Let them address that publicly in international court. When they do that, then they will have the right to start talking about other countries affairs. Lead by example or don't lead at all.

There's a lot of talk about how the US doesn't understand China. Frankly, if we look at a country like Taiwan, we can clearly see another version of China that is much more open, democratic and free. This nonsense about how 'Chinese culture' or 'Chinese mentality' is somehow inherently oriented towards despotic government that constantly surveilles its citizens is bullshit. Chinese people are perfectly capable of choosing democracy over totalitarianism, and they have done so in Taiwan. What, I think, the Communist Chinese side doesn't want to deal with, is that these 'side issues' of values and principles are actually the MOST important things to, not only the United States, but to Western democracies in general. The principles of fairness, equality and protection of the weak are Judeo-Christian values. If Communist China wants to understand the United States' attitude towards China, they need to spend some time studying Judaism. They will soon learn that there is NO WAY the United States can accept death camps, mass executions, organ harvesting, genocide, or any other brutalities being perpetrated by the Communist government. Jewish values, which ultimately permeate all Western democracies, say that you MUST oppose such crimes at ANY cost. No matter what!! Even if you have to military crush the regime, such as was the case with Nazi Germany. Basically, life isn't worth living if you know that crimes against humanity are being perpetrated, and you're not doing everything you can to stop it. The Chinese Communist Party has already rendered itself permanently soiled with the blood of the crimes they have committed. Any détente with the West will be temporary until they are removed from power. There is NO OTHER OPTION for the West. And yes, I understand the implications of this. That's what really concerns me. Basically, the Chinese people had better overthrow the Communist Party, and very soon, if they want to avoid a very real risk of a major war.

When both parties are not talking on the same wave length....this is where the problems started. Chinese people do not like harsh or abrasive language when solving issues together. The art of speaking to warm up initially before discussing any political problems could have been accepted from both sides.

Granted, the relationship between the reigning superpower and the rising power is expected to be complex, bordering on being enigmatic. Much more, the complex situation is conspicuously exacerbated by the dictate of domestic politics, especially in the case of U.S. highly partisan and divisive domestic politics. The hostile posturing and rhetoric notwithstanding, I’m cautiously optimistic that these two giants will find a way to live with each other. This is because, very much unlike the Cold War era, the American and the Chinese interests are so intertwined today, their continuous prosperity, and that of the world, is inextricably linked and interdependent. Besides, as what Henry Kissinger succinctly said: “It is no longer possible to think that one side can dominate the other.”
