Hell, I just catch at most 6 for a main team (or more depending how many tries are needed for natures or abilities) and whatever legendary I can get. After that I just dick around with the side modes and maybe try my hand at breeding competitive Goodra's or some stupid shit like that.

For me it's usually: 1.starter 2.regional bird (subjectable to change unless Talonflame or Corviknight) 3.Fire, grass or water type that's weak against my starter 4.electrical 5-Pseudo-Legendary 6-depends on the Gen(for example psychic in Gen 1, Steel-type in everything else) Then I'll change it around according to how the game goes. By the end of the game the Legendary we catch in the story will be on my main team. I'll also tend to use pokemon that were given to me as a gift in-game.

I mean, the main reason people are mad is because they SAID they're remaking the models and animations. At least that's my main problem. If they hadn't said that people would just point out the meh-ness and play the game like normal. I think. Though they needed a reason why the dex was cut, couldn't they find something else? Yeah communication was a mess, models were future proof, some of the pokemon who made the cut in let's go didn't do it in gen8 (same gen and in some case better animation I'm looking at you seagull). However, some pokemon were toxic in competitive and are now removed so maybe the healthiest for competition so far.

Agreed. I'm for sure getting this game because honestly it still looks fun to me, but don't get me wrong, the Pokemon Company should really start making some changes starting soon. Exactly. “We hear you, but we don’t care” is a common thing that comes from GameFreak and it’s irritating. They’re disgraceful. They lie about the reasons they make cuts, they deliver mediocrity, and honestly are just pathetic compared to every other franchise that made the jump to the switch. Zelda, Mario, Kirby, Fire Emblem, and Luigi’s Mansion set an expectation. All of them delivered fantastically. Is it really so wrong to hold Pokémon to the same standards as similarly or even less popular franchises, to which GameFreak still fails to even touch? And don’t get me started on, “They only had a year”. They only gave themselves a year. GameFreak sets a date, not Nintendo. Nintendo holds GameFreak accountable to that date, but GameFreak dug themselves in this hole that they’re in. If GameFreak had been less concerned with a heartless yearly cash grab and more concerned with delivering a game that was, at the very least, slightly above average, they would have garnered respect and understanding from most of the angry community. People will always be mad, but GameFreak managed to drag me, someone who’s been relatively neutral to these problems in previous games, into hating them.

To play devil's advocate, I see both sides with valid points. Yes, not having every pokemon does not automatically make the game bad. Not having your favorite pokemon in the game may happen. The reused models dont matter. And they put alot of effort into making the wild area. Now on the side of national dexers: yes, it is perfectly reasonable to not buy a game because a majority of pokemon are not in it and you feel you're not getting your money's worth. It is valid to be angry they used the unchanged models as a excuse for cutting pokemon when they didn't make all new models. And it is perfectly fine to voice complaints. The biggest problem is people who shove opinions in people's faces instead of just having a rant or showing some warnings to those around you. There is a major difference. Also if anyone wants to know, yes some of my favorites aren't in the game either. Notably: dunsparce, dragonite, honchcrow, ampharos, and aggron.
