There is another Rom Hack called "Fire Ash" that takes you beyond Kanto (as the Orange Islands can only be accessed by cheating in this game) and to every region. Every Pokemon up to Meltan can be caught. Ash's Pokemon are gotten as gifts throughout the game.

I have been playing pokemon since the 90s and I gotta say this might be the first time I genuinelly feel a connection with my pokemons. This might be fan made but is so well made you actually have an immersion (although that might be from me being a huge fan of the pokemon anime back then) It gives you such a different feeling when pokemon join your team in comparison to just capture them and storing them in the pc. Releasing the butterfree was emotional af, when haunter joined my team I instantly felt a connection with him, this game is freaking magical man

While not being an episode from Indigo League, I think the most memorable episodes is one of the final episodes of Johto League I watched as a kid on TV. It was a farewell episode, where Ash, Brock and Misty went their own ways and parted. It was emotional for me, enough to bring tears into my eyes. It's still embeded into my memories.

I had a vhs tape with the great race, the kangaskhan episode and one other episode I can't remember but that was one of my favorite trio of episodes. Though the episode set where ash gets bulbasaur charmander and squirtle back to back to back was always amazing.

My favorite episode is "Princess VS Princess" where Misty and Jesse battle for a set of Pokémon dolls. There are very few girls only battles in the original series, so this one felt special. Plus it's the first appearance of Lickitung and who doesn't love that?

I played this years ago and had so much fun!!! Followed the anime exactly! :D Only crappy thing is I saved somewhere on a surfspot idk where it was? But when I started the game again I couldnt move away from the spot and I didnt have fly so.. I was stuck and have to restart the game entirely and that kinda drained the fun for me. Other than that bug thingy, amazing!

I would love to learn to do rom hacks. I would take this already stellar anime adaptation and would love to try and add mIsty and brock as companions with more dialoge for the events like it happened in the episodes! They wouldn't be in the way if you used the Final Fantasy logic of disappearing in the MC and reappearing when appropriate.

Coincidentally, my favorite episode is “Holy Matrimony!” The episode with James parents faking their death. It was on a VHS with 2 other episodes, but I watched that one all the time because it was the most interesting, creepy and sad. There’s this tragic backstory of James having to leave his best friend Growly to escape his rich and insane parents 😭 lol. If you really don’t remember it, please fine and watch it! I wish they made her look like Jesse and designed her hair for the hack, because that was a big plot point but happy they included it.
