That was a real treat, Sid! I got the original Polar Express rtr set and was disappointed that the Berkshire didn't have a bell sound. I guess you were supposed to use the big jingle bell instead. I didn't know that the Whistle Steam version had come out with a train bell! What an extra surprise to see a standard gauge tinplate running around the tree, too. It had a really shimmery look under the tree with the lights shining off of it. Looked great: a touch of the old days. Thanks, Sid!

That whistle is actually pretty legit on that steamer. They made a Great Northern conventional set that had whistle steam too, was always something I wanted to pick up. Great video and running session Sid.

This is a cool video! My wife and I bought the Battery Operated Lionel Polar Express at Costco 4 years ago. Has done Christmas Tree Duty for 3 Christmas. Our Grandson loves it!

I remember back in 2011 Lionel made a Chesapeake and Ohio baby Berkshire with a steam whistle! I had no clue there was a poler express version, great video!!?

Never knew this engine existed, wish they would have put the whistle steam on the berk 2.0. Also I was wondering if you work on anyone's engines or a select few? Our local shop no longer does repairs and with MTH changing they said they can't send them out either. Just wondering if you will or can point me to someone who will. Thanks for any help

Nice video Sid - I actually bought this engine back in 2013 - had it under the tree for the last 10 Xmas - never used the smoke because my wife can’t stand the smell. Finally this year I bought scented “wood stove” smoke - only to discover that my steam whistle does not work. The locomotive sounds great and smokes up a storm from the stack and the chest but no whistle steam - any clues to why this is happening? Thanks
