He "taps" into two seperate parts of his conscious brain working them at the same time. Try doing it with a simple rythm and simple lyrics....thats what i think he does, but he can do it naturally better, then has developed that skill....i think thats how. I "see" how its done in the picture in my mind but must admit, i have not developed it and am, so i think? not good at it but i also havent worked at it much so...

There’s a Paris concert bootleg I managed to get in vinyl then eventually in CD many years later. It was recorded from the control desk - audience is barely audible - Sting sings without weakness and Andy solo sounds like he’s playing with God.

I come back to this version again and again when I want to hear "Bring On the Night" on You Tube. A classic rendering. For those commenting on Sting's spittle: he used to eat a spongy bread onstage that he said "helps lubricate the vocal cords." Since Sting never lost his voice or suffered nodes on his vocal cords while using his "freak of nature" high range, who can argue?

I saw Sting 4 weeks ago in Hannover. He sounds exactly the same now, absolutely awesome. My favourite Police song and performance by a country mile.

My first "favorite band" had been "The Police" when I was in 5thand 6th grade. Once I had gotten older, My favorite band had been "Iron Maiden", another band from England. But, The Police will always have a special place in my heart. Stewart Copeland is still VERY relavant in the rock and roll scene. If my memory serves me right, he has been in recent contact with some guys in the band "The Foo Fighters". Really, a simple websearch about "Stewart Copeland" will show you who he is currently playing with, be it seriously making music with, OR just "playing around with for fun".

I enjoy the performance very much, but I'm especially impressed by the quality of this live recording! THAT's a rare treat, isn't it? To be able to hear everything played/sung by each person? And in balance, properly mixed?
