Playing this song is like rubbing your stomach while patting yourself on the head......while juggling chainsaws with your feet and doing advanced trig. Stewart Copeland is the maddest of mad lads!

This is SO good!! One of my all time favorite songs. As an intermediate drum student I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to play this song but dang I am in awe of what you did here. Snappy hi hat work my friend!

The first time I heard this song I never knew how to classify it, maybe as rock-punk? because it has a strange style, but it's a very good song! And your drum cover is fantastic !…muy buen baterista, felicitaciones !

It’s not EXTREMELY hard but it is hard. Look up what a polyrhythm is for context.

Thanks for your comment I played traditional for nearly 25 years so I’m actually technically more at ease there but I kept switched back and forth while playing which I felt stops the flow so in the last years I’ve been playing mainly matched

Thank you ! You can either feel it as a 12/8 or 4/4 in 8 note triplets subdivisions. In both cases you count/feel in 4. At least I do.

All of your snare rim shot/clave strokes are the same volume. When Stewart is playing the 123 123 123 pattern on the snare, 1 is the loudest hit...2 is a little softer....and 3 is the softest hit. It gives it a pulse. This cover sounds too "robotic" imo. Listen to the original.
