No, he did not. he died denying that apartheid was a crime against humanity.

He was being pedantic on the term used because there are people who are confused that say millions of blacks were murdered by the NP party during that time. Which he pushed back on. during 1948 to 1989 7000 political killings took place which is reprehensible but not akin to what people would think of when they hear the term genocide. He apologized on multiple occasions for the pain hurt and indignity apartheid caused. This false accusations made against him was done by disingenuous and confused EFF supporters as propaganda to vilify the likes of De Klerk and Mandela because they believe Mandela sold out to white monopoly capital. Again trying to steal votes from the ANC
