Of course he should be a national hero. If my country of Barbados 🇧🇧 can make Rihanna a national hero , then Bob should definitely have the same honor because he is far more socially impactful than she ever will be. That is no knock on the honorable Rihanna Fenty but I hold Marley in much higher regard.

Bob Marley is bigger than all the titles you may give him. I was born 8 years after he passed away but I listen to his music always. And it's very relevant to this day. Sure he should be honoured. He is THE national hero of jamaica and for jamaica until today. I can't stop thinking about all the people that are positively impacted by what he has done in his lifetime... He provides income for many people related to his museum, and the people that work in nine miles, as simple example. It is far more complicated to evaluate his role in the perception of jamaica in the entire world, but it can only be huge and positive. But then: Would it have mattered to Bob personally to be called a National Hero by Jamaicas officials and Government? I am not so sure. He is the hero of the people since 50 years or so, and I think that counts. And still: Jamaican officials should honour him to give the title of national hero a credibility. You can't seriously name the most important Jamaicans and leave Bob out. It would also show that the politics aknowledge that he has done important things, and that others should follow his example. And therefore, I say YES Man!

Rasta, from the day Bob Marley past away he was Jamaica national hero. See you when the massive put their power into the Hands of the full. The full hands think the have too much power. Bob Marley is a Jamaican national hero at home and abroad. For example, let us take a picture of all Jamaican politicians and Bob Marley picture. And travel around the globe, and let us see who is well known around the world. 99% of the world knows Bob Marley, 1% of the world knows Jamaican politicians and those who knows Jamaican politicians have to be involved in politics. So the idea that some Jamaican politicians can make Bob Marley a national hero is laughable, this is the job of the Jamaican public. Not the job of the politicians, Bob Marley are being used as a political tool. Because of these same politicians that nearly cut Bob Marley life short, yes he died of cancer. But it would have been a lot sooner because of politics. So no politicians have the right to make Bob Marley a national hero, this is in the hands of the people globally. Feel free to disagree on the subject, but this is my personal opinion on the subject. I'm not very good in changing my mind, this politicians are looking for attention. To make themselves look important, Bob Marley really? 🙄😄😅😂🤣😇

If Bob is to get that honour surely Leonard Howell should. Leonard Howell is the original Gong and is who Bob named himself the gong after as a mark of respect for the Leanard Howell the Gong.
