Here in the UK,I found Polo via the 'Country Life magazine,which had cool adverts from Ralph Lauren.It was seen as high fashion here.The first things I bought were a Tie and then a shirt.Later a suit..Then came the Polo shirts.That was back in the early 80's.And now I have a good collection.

Another way to tell mens and womens country apart is the mens tags say “Polo Country” while the womens tags say “Ralph Lauren Country”

The Polo Country tags are the same. The only difference is the year listed on the bottom. Either 67 or 71. 71 is women's clothes.
