Hi Mark! I have to be honest, I’m not a massive film watcher but I always watch and enjoy your reviews. This year I was really entertained by Anatomy Of A Fall and The Zone Of Interest. I loved Poor Things and American Fiction, I will watch All Of Us Strangers this weekend and look forward to Joker 2 on the streaming channels. I would like to add that I loved Wicked but I was a big fan of the soundtrack before the release and am looking forward to Moana 2 and I think I might enjoy Conclave! Happy New Year!!

Thank you Mark. I am compiling a movie bucket list, so will definitely add some from this top 10. Only watched Joker 2 the other day and was drawn to many aspects of it. I personally would rate Wicked, but realise it's not to everyone's taste. I am thinking you do this top 10 every year, so will search the channel for more inspiration.

I’m not a great watcher of movies but, on your recommendation, I went to the cinema last March to see Perfect Days. Loved it so much I went back in April (even framed my ticket!). Such an important movie. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I really want to watch Perfect Days now. I am surprised that this type of film is your first choice though…. perhaps you are subconsciously craving more mindfulness in such chaotic times. Sing Sing is also on my watchlist 👍 thank you Mark X

Thanks for your reviews this year, I really enjoy them. It ends with us, Twisters, Wicked little letters, The Bike Riders, Deadpool and Wolverine.. and Paddington, Despicable Me 4 (not all for my benefit) were enjoyable enough. But none wowed me, maybe too conventional (still go back to Three Billboards, and Promising Young Woman stayed with me). Only All of us strangers (streamed) left me with that daydreamy, thinking and wondering feeling. Really want to see Joker 2 and Sing Sing, and think I’d enjoy Perfect Days from your description 🤩

Yes mainly not because most of the heavy lifting - character creation - world creation - cinematic style etc had been originally done by the first film - so it was up there in Top 10 as a strong sequel continuation of the first - but all the others essentially came from standing starts I suppose x
