Off topic What I always find objectionable in philosophical, political, religious, sociological or media debates is the ubiquitous use the pronoum we. In my long experience, there are intelligent, open-minded people who can impartially absorb and discuss philosophical concepts, and lots and lots of those who can' and won't. So when I read or hear the word we, I can' help thinking: "We who? I'm not part of the unthinking solely materialistic masses." Yes we are all part of humanity but some are thinkers with a willingness to learn and explore and some are only interested in celebrities money luxuries football and other trivial mundane subjects.

I see what you're saying but I think it's possible to enjoy football and still be interested in deeper things. Sport can be beautiful or it can serve as a brief respite from our existential concerns!

@philosophywithaview At the age of a grandfather, I wake up every day before 5 AM in the morning to practice 1 and half hour of football. I am also a Tai ch and Qigong grand master. Moreover, I have written the most original book ever on football that is also a book about philosophy for people of all reading ages so that can people as young as six can understand the subjects that you talk about. There is an ocean of difference between the billions of people who passively watch football or any sport on a screen or in a stadium but never do a tiny bit of exercise. People who only have football entertainment in their mind and treat it as an expression of nationalism or jingoism. You are a very good philosophy teacher. Watch out for my book on football, life, philosophy, sociology, and the universe.
