Dude, keep it up, ypure doing amazing stuff here. The wall e short brought me here and that alone is an awesome build and really shows your creativity with meshing mechanical techniques in that small form factor. Also utilizing the arduino to its full effect.

Reminds me of using a wind up alarm clock as a kid to lift heavy weights like 5 kg and above using a single 1.5 volt battery. The clock had a gear train of like 7 gears with an insane gear ratio. I tried stopping the gear with my fingers and it was chewing through my skin with no problem. Good thing it ran very slow 😂.

First thing that happened was my sun gear sliping on the nema shaft with no weight I must have forgotten some thing

Hmmmm the hole is made for a TT motor if you have access to a cad software you could shrink it slightly to provide better grip on your NEMA motor

Yep I was able to back drive it up to 4 stacked boxes. You just want to make sure to run them in the forward direction for a couple minutes so they can break in. Then you should be able to get a smooth reverse action.

I've been looking for a Planetary Gearbox this size for my little robot I'm gonna test it with drone motors on 4s so I'll find out if it can handle 36,000 rpm lol

1. There are no instructions on how to assemble the gearbox. 2. Is it possible for you to share the parts individually instead of an assembly (to print replacement parts). 3. Is there an available mount design for the TT motor? 4. (Request) Could you share the files in a (.STEP) format for specific user design changes?

I don’t see how you need instructions to assemble 3 parts…look at the video: assemble. It’s not rocket science 😂

This design doesnt work if you try and spin the pinion around the rpm of most brushed motors (12k rpm). If you gear the end and put it under load like for a transmission the little pegs on the planet carriers will melt and cause your transmission to seize up. Thery need to be made of metal for this design. It makes sense now why when I search for geared motors all of them use a compound gear train design. I believe it's because there's only one revolute relationship and there's no translation in that aspect.
