The best lesson about it is to became the source of expectations about yourself. That's really empowering!

I knew it! My therapist always tells me great expectations great disappointment no expectations no disappointments and I have always argued with him about that because I think A healthy level of expectation is good for people. It shows them that you believe in them and you believe in yourself to make that expectation end it only drives people to want to be better. I’m not talking about any sort of unobtainable expectation but it’s a natural human thing to believe that if you hire somebody for a job for example you expect them to deliver on their promise. If you don’t expect somebody to deliver then you’re going to be let down constantly.

Precisely! When I became friends with some young girls, as a guy, the hidden expectation I received from one of the parents was that I would protect, influence them correctly and guide those girls, sure there was an motivation to have a girlfriend, but an older guy maybe interested in having sex and romance with a girl, is a suitable tradeoff to protecting the girl from the horrors of a terrible schooling system that will try to infantilize, brainwash and control, they couldn't have known this, but I also intended to protect them from pot, sure, I am fine with other people smoking pot, but not them, same with transgenderism, other people can do their thing, but they are not it, or better against it, and I am allied with them, sure as a guy I have expectations of a girl, and desires, but being a protective force for some girls, makes me more masculine, as they become more feminine as they are protected by my unstoppable force.

This is interesting I have experienced this myself. Another thing to think about is how you can effect the attitude of the person who puts expectations on you, if you are aware of what's going on

I have been trying to live my life with little to no expectations for as long as I can remember, but now I start to wonder if that's a bad idea. I am discovering that expactations can change outcome, in a great way. But then of course I would also have to deal with the moments where my expectations are not met. Maybe the pros outweights the cons.

Rosenthal had been banned from being present on the UND campus outside of normal office hours a couple of years prior. Something to do with an experiment involving custodial staff e.g. moving their brooms, locking supply closets while they were inside etc.

Interesting close to the video regarding moving lines. Reminded me of Murakami's short story "Cream" - "A circle with many centers."

Those cases are amazing because they are exeptions. People who run into a burning building so save another are heros because it is not something every person would do. Also, underdogs have their own safety nets. Their friends, relatives, coaches who support them and cheer them on.

The speed of thought is faster than the speed of light and likely, light itself. Now! What important, influential and harmful entities think of you - including yourself - is very... EXTREMELY.. Important. Consciousness is not just Life, it's all encompacing.
